Pretty over the petty arguments that have come from something that happened two weeks ago. Get over it. How does a debate about a scorecard turn into player poaching accusations and justifying wins against teams that may not be considered at the same standard as others? There are so many variables and no one considers that the lower teams that some are taking lightly may very well are just missing some puzzle peices that can make them a far better side on their given night or playing heartless footy without some key guys leaving them with a less than preferred result. An example of that would be Morningside beating Ferny. Only Ferny and morningside players, staff and spectators from that night can really tell you exactly what the factors were behind that game.
Let's get back to taking footy and remember there are 12 clubs in this comp that do great things each week and it's good to see this competition showing abit more excitement in the weekly fixtures.
With that said these are my tips for this week.

Uni to beat Colly Park
Mayne to beat Coorparoo
Hawks over Ippy
Woodies to beat Yeronga
Zillmere over Ferny
Jimboomba over Morningside

Power
Mayne
Hawks
Woodies
Zillmere
Jimboomba

Also gents just wondering if any other clubs were doing anything in relation to indigenous round. I think regardless of the level we play or standard of footy it should be celebrated/recognised like it is in the AFL. One of our indigenous players will skipper the power tonight and if other teams/clubs haven't thought about it maybe a similar role for an indigenous player in your team would be suitable to recognise what the indigenous community does for our great game as we don't have the ability to do things such as the special one off jumpers for the round. Maybe something to consider.

Cheers Gents and good luck to everybody tonight.

Word on the street is SBS will be filming the next season of 'Struggle Street' in Jimboomba...

their newest gun recruit has been spotted

Very quiet on here. Morningside jimboomba game was a cracka! I am very surprised morningside haven't won more games. They are a fit and when they get the ball on the outside use it very well! Very much a typical morningside game. Jimboomba had the troops to win the one on ones around the ground. But morningside will be very good come the end of the year, if they get to the pointy end. Great game!

Been following the comp for a couple seasons now, weekend looked like it went as predicted plus coorparoo getting a Win to get in the winners circle.

Any idea whether Matty Dillon has transferred to Jimboomba? Or was the weekend's game just a one off match under permit?

If it's a permanent shift then that's a very handy pickup!

Given the Jimboomba game took place at the same time Broadbeach were trying to keep their season alive vs Labrador, you would think its a permanent move.

So with a QAFL bye this week, how many will the Woodsmen and Sandgate drop back into their side for the big battle on Friday?

Not sure how you drop blokes back to a senior team?

We are a senior side, there isn't anywhere to drop back from.

More importantly, what would AFLQ be silly enough to schedule a state game up against the power of a QAFA B Central fixture? We know where the big crowd will be!

Anyway, why would a QAFL player want to drop back to this grade on a much needed week off? Only if they were in desperate need of a run would that make sense. Its actually laughable a team would do this just to get a round 9 win which in the scheme of things means zip.

If i went to the Magpies asking for a QAFL player this week i would be laughed out of the room, even if we were short we wouldnt hey one.

Only ever used a Magpie on permit once in 8 seasons, and that was Round 1 this year and all due respect to the player in question - he wouldn't be in our best 30!

If we did get someone because we're short, it would purely be a fringe ressies player who would make no material difference to the team other than being another available player.

Yeah embarrassing but probably true
Nah disagree having played in that team a while back most of the guys in 3rds at Sandgate can't play Saturday footy for a host of reasons work young family etc...Friday night is the appeal of this comp and your always going to get some of the older and younger blokes who can play a bit and would easily play 2's playin 3rds...Every team has them...
