We need to make sure we do our due diligence on the Geelong fringe players and see if they are the right fit for our system. Otherwise they could turn into the next Tom Gillies or Brent Prismall...

Thats true.. there is always a risk with fringe from any club ..look at some of the GWS players at Carlton.

Although I would say those two are not quite the same . Gillies was a delist , and Prismall was someone had built up and had become a regular , did his knee and got persuaded he had a better future at Essendon.

One theory I have heard tossed around was recruiting an experienced key fwd, putting Sam Day as a permanent key defender to bolster our defence, and in turn freeing up May to be more like a roaming 3rd tall rebound defender with his long kicking.

Black from north would be a perfect fit for this. Lead up fwd to free up lynch and Wright. He is apparently keen to get out of north and go anywhere. Have also heard he is willing to take a pay cut from his current contract. When given the chance he can play the game! Or even Kersten from Geelong could be a possibility, although he is being heavily linked to Freo.

J kolo plays with so much freedom, lonergan, taylor and henderson take the 3 talls, j kolo is lucky to be part of that back 6. Wouldn't say he is someone we need going forward.. second rounder lol would be about right, certainly nothing more

What's the story with Jake Stringer at the moment? 56 goals last year, 37 this year but banished to the ressies the past fortnight.
The Bullldogs are supposedly front runners for Cloke, yet already have Boyd on big dollars and Crameri returning. He's the sort of player you throw big $$$ at and play Day down back as the 3rd tall.

Both contracted would have to be a ridiculous offer for this to even be considered. People, mostly Vics grasping at straws and listening to talk back radio calls and preaching them as fact. Don't believe it until the club come out and say something.

Dont worry about the North board, Swallows parents said when David was drafted that they would love to see the boys play together, ever since then the North board took that to mean David would leave ASAP and move to the Roos and have been rabbiting on about it ever since.


That was 2010, they take a snippet and turn it into something it never was and decide it's a fact. It's actually quite funny
