Millsy was good, Nigro was horrible, Williams is an angry dude, Troisi was solid, Bes is just Bes, Kosta is sexy, Brox was boss and I don't know what else to say.
Adelaide United away is never boring mate :)
It is for a cup competition that is suppose to bring non A League clubs into the mainstream. Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United, if we win we'll no doubt play another A League team. When you play clubs 3 times a year, it'd be nice to visit another stadium.

I hear you mate, but its so much more worth it when you win the comp having played and beaten the stronger teams.
Hopefully if we win we'll get a home match or a Vic team, South Melbourne or Heidelberg would be nice.

We really need to fill that Left Back position can't rely on Nigro and broxy. Hopefully a few more signing announcements coming up.

I love the idea of the cup and it means a lot to the non professional teams but I wonder if it means anything to the A League clubs, I couldn't really care if we lost the final or won it. Not sure how they change that, bringing in A League teams earlier could be embarrassing for the game in general and the fact the seasons dont line up is another issue.

Baby steps mate it will progress. It's only in its fourth year!! It does feel like a glorified pre-season comp atm, it's exciting this time of the year beacuse you get to see teams and sometimes towns you've never heard of and the odd "cupsets" romance of the cup etc.. are very possible. But then it largely loses its romance once the A-league starts which is understandable.
Maybe it should just remain a pre-season comp? or maybe align the other state leagues along side the A-league? would be the ideal solution but very difficult right now without a genuine national second tier and/or especially without any promotion/relegation ecosystem.

Don't get me wrong, the concept is great and as someone that has played in it and other cup competitions where I've won against teams such as those that are now playing in the round of 16 it is a massive thrill for these clubs, players and supporters of those clubs to host professional teams. As a Victory fan though I find it hard to get excited about playing other A League clubs though. Am spewing Heidelberg got drawn away as it would have been nice to head back there to watch them try for a quarter finals birth.

I think teams start to care once they've made the final 8 and the final is in sight. But clearly they don't care enough about it at this stage to try and organise their recruiting to have most, if not all their players signed in time.

I think it will improve over time as the NPL teams get better because it will force A-league sides to take it seriously and play a better team which will lead to better football

I think it will only get fair dinkum serious once we have a national tiered system in place.

Wonder how many of those are seated in the north end? Have any of the south end group switched ends?

Not to my knowledge no, hard to really find out through with MV.net closed atm. That was the place to get first hand news on the terrace dealings and politics.
