Nabi left for International duty, but Khan isn't ?
Also, Strikers have said if Carey doesn't play for Australia he will play Monday for them.
Nabi was the replacement player for Pollard. Now that Pollard is available Nabi has to leave.

Khan will miss the final (if they make it) otherwise should be eligible for for other games.

Carey will travel with the Australians to Sydney ahead of Sunday’s third ODI at the SCG, but will be available to play for the Strikers against the Melbourne Renegades on Monday evening if Paine returns to the Australian XI.

In any case, with the lockout tomorrow and the DGW Stars playing tomorrow, it's going to be a tough decision either way.

Tough call, hopefully find out some news on Paine today or tomorrow. Best thing to do may be Peirson to Handscomb on the bench, keep Carey on field, Carey misses, Handscombs score takes affect. However seems like a wasted trade if Carey plays on Monday night

Yes exactly will be a wasted trade.

You could however trade in a Handscomb for a batsman, play Handscomb at WKP, Carey as a BAT and do the emergency that way.
Yeah that's a better option, I may do Henriques to Handscomb for the DGW, sub Carey into the Batting position and if he doesn't play, Silk will come onto the field as emergency

Good news for anyone thinking of trading in Handscomb is that Wright will miss tomorrow’s match so Handscomb will probably open.

Start Boyce or Cartwright on field?
Cartwright is in good form so I’d go with him but if the Hurricanes I’d go with Boyce as Cartwright often bats down the order when the Scorchers chase. Then again I may not be the best person to ask as they’d be a few higher than my 200 odd ranking.

Why is it a waste of a trade? Rounds 10 and 11 are unlimited trades from what I read in the rules.
edit..... Confirmed. Notified under Team editing and Trades. KFC Big Bash Rules.

Rising Australian spinner Arjun Nair has been reported for having a suspect action
SYDNEY Thunder’s Arjun Nair has been banned from bowling in domestic cricket for three months for a breach of protocol after being reported for a suspect action in the Big Bash League.
Nair’s action was reported by umpires after the Sydney Thunder’s match against Hobart on December 30.
At testing on January 4, results showed that the 19-year-old was bowling with a materially different action to the one he used against the Hurricanes – a breach of Cricket Australia’s protocol worthy of a bowling ban of at least 90 days.
The right-armer, who possesses a carrom ball, will not be permitted to resume bowling duties until he has his action cleared.
Despite the suspension, Nair has been named in Sydney Thunder’s squad to take on the Melbourne Stars as a batsman. He has scored 66 runs this season at 22.00.
“Arjun is a talented and popular member of our club,” Sydney Thunder general manager Lee Germon told Cricket Australia’s website.
“We believe he will have a long and successful career with Sydney Thunder and shall support him through this process.”
The mystery spinner’s suspension is a major blow for the Thunder. Despite the Sydney side sitting second last with two games to go, Nair has enjoyed a breakout season, with nine wickets at 22.77 to his name.

Its certainly a very suspect action.

Traded Carey to get Maxwell

How does this team look?

View attachment 452396
as always your team looks bloody strong.
i'd consider swapping Dunk with Wade though. that will give you the option of playing Weatherald ahead of Wade if he is named to bat down the order again.

also, im playing you in 2 leagues so Bravo to Henriques and Short to Silk would be really good moves.
good luck. dont think you'll need it though, it looks like you've got me covered.

At this stage, I still have Carey with Wade EMG (he seems to be batting 6 again which is a total waste)
Doggett, Ingram and Henriques
for
Coleman, Handscomb and Maxwell (c)

If Carey is confirmed for tomorrow, could do
Carey, Doggett and Ingram/Henriques (not sure who is the more dead weight at this stage, probably Moises at 4)
for
Handscomb, Maxwell and $88,000 (no idea who i'd get here, possibly Watson, Neser, KP, Ahmed)
