Actually, I will use CT scoring copied over from ESPN site.

Will update tonight.

Everyone wait with bated breath for the 97 point scoring option which allows a kicker to top score for the week after fumbling, kicking 70+ yards, tackling the returner for a fumble, returning fumble for +45 yards, fumbling, recovering own fumble, fumbling, tackling opponent for a loss, forcing fumble, recovering fumble, passing for 55 yards, receiving lateral (20 yards backwards), rushing for 32 yards, fumbling, recovering own fumble, rushing for 5 yards, fumbling, recovering own fumble, lateralling to another player for 5 yards, then receiving a further lateral (20 yards backwards) for rushing gain of 21 yards, then fumbling, then making tackle for loss, then forcing fumble, then recovering fumble, then returning fumble to 1 yard line, then fumbling, then tackling for loss (chasing the dude who recovered the fumble back to his own 1 yard line), then forcing fumble, then recovering fumble, then completing pass of 90+ yards, then picking up own team's fumble (after fumble by receiver), then rushing for a TD (from outside the 20 yard line). And then rushing for the two point conversion.

At least a 97 point play on the GG scale (on both ESPN and MILF), amirite??

Can we have the same scoring as Cutthroat? Empire is Empire. We're all used to the CT scoring and strategies and that's what we expect to get. Bad enough being on this shit site

Do WR need a scoring bump?

The top WR is at the same level as the 8th best RB

EDIT: Not as in the scoring copying over didn't work, more just a generalisation over the scoring

So, you want me to use the EMPIRE scoring method then?
Which is CT Advanced...as it allows for much more position-specific options to help boost specific positions so that all positions are far more even than the shallow ESPN scoring allowed.

Sheesh you people!

No because Empire scoring had WRs and RBs way too low.

RBs are good atm, just WRs need a bump. They have more consistency, but the top end lacks elite level scoring. Imagine the drafting if top WRs are at the same level as RBs. At the moment, RBs will comprise of I reckon 75% of the first round of our drafts.

I'll tweak the scoring next year.
Basically, I will employ SOME position-specific options to attain a state where QBs/RBs/WRs/TEs are all roughly similar. And DT/DE/LB/CB/S are all roughly similar to each other. But, where Offense is slightly better than Defense.
As in, Empire has its flaws too, far too complex. It took me like 6 months to formulate. I'm scared to even go back into the scoring settings and tweak it, because it is so complex.
But for 2018 CT on MFL, I will employ SOME position-specific things to help get a better balance but done in a far simpler way than Empire.

dlanod has taken chism's place. league filled up again.

reminder to all tho....you all need to be registered and joined in order to draft. as the draft is conducted thru the mfl league site. it's an offline email draft. you get a notification that you're on the clock via email, and log in to the site to make your pick there.

How long do I have to get registered? I haven't even had time to look at it yet.
It takes a few minutes.
Go to myfantasyleague.com and register an account name there using the same email addy that I have on file for you.
Then go to your inbox for the email addy I have on file, and you'll find an invite email, click the link in there (follow the instructions in there) and voila. You're registered.

Or if you want to use a new email address when first registering there, just be sure to PM me it, so I can send an invite to that email addy not the one I have on file.

Will the drafts still be done here on BigFooty?

No all done on the site. You'll get an email that you're on the clock, you'll go to the site and under FOR OWNERS you'll click DRAFT and scroll thru the players and make a selection. So all automated by the site, and players taken off the board won't appear causing people to mistakenly pick them again.

If you can find a replacement GG.exe I'd like to give up my spot. After having a look at the site, and after seeing that it's now an email draft, it just seems like more work than I have time for at the moment.

If you can't find anyone to replace me before the draft starts, let me know and I'll honour the commitment - but hopefully it doesn't come to that. To be honest, when you tagged me in the post asking if I wanted to participate, I didn't even look at the rest of the thread, I'd just assumed it would be as it always was ie. on ESPN and with thread-based drafting.

When do you need an answer by? I'm just cautious of spreading myself across too many comps as this is my first NFL fantasy season (and I'm not lying when I say I've got very little idea haha).

Draft starts July 15. So ideally asap, just in case you decide no, and then I have to try to find someone else in short(er) notice.
No pressure tho :p

Email draft just means you get notified by email right? And you make your selection on the site.

Not that the whole draft is an email chain

No worries, in that case I'll say no. Thanks for the invite though.

So how long do you get on the clock?

If it's 24 hours, I can deal with it, I'm online most nights. But I seem to remember that previously it has been 12 hours? That would be a bit tricky for me.
