Everyone drafts differently though. There's no pre-requisite I've seen anywhere that states we have to research before our picks.

100%, I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I'm all for people using their time how they like, but I just don't think there's a competitive advantage to not being able to use all of the full 12 hours for research. If there was we'd all be doing it. All I'm getting at when I say that's not what the 12 hours was intended for is that UC has made it clear in the past that the 12 hours is so people can check it once at night and once in the morning and not miss a pick.

Is still in the rehab group due to the leg break (broke his leg in 4 places, I think). I'd say that's the only reason he slid in our draft. If I'd kept pick 35 and he was available it'd have been between Witherden and two others. If the Lions manage his injury properly and get his body right then he'll be a great pick here, basically Trent McKenzie without the attitude problem (watch McKenzie this season now that he's dropped the attitude so you can see what you've got on your hands in a couple seasons )

Look I prefer the Goddard comparisons although think that is being pretty generous to the bloke, getting on 12 months with his leg although Stringer came back from similar so worth the risk even if he never plays at 34!

Haha, fair enough There's about 4 or 5 players in the draft that get compared to Goddard (every year). Of those 5 this year I think 4 of them are still available on our draft board I think it's a good risk/reward pick in the 3rd round, that's what I meant by he's slid in our draft. Would've been gone in the 20s if not for this leg I think. McKenzie posts some very nice fantasy stats when he pulls his finger out and I think Witherden would do similar.
