Same here. Although I'm locking in Beams if he gets through pre season. As will most other people.

Any reason why Pendles isn't a lock? So durable and consistent with captain scores regularly. Is it only due to Treloar being in the same team?

Probably overkill but I'm backing myself to pick mid pricers that go bang in my backline and forwardline

Any reason why Pendles isn't a lock? So durable and consistent with captain scores regularly. Is it only due to Treloar being in the same team?

Pendles is a SC God, I definitely want him in, but he simply is my 5th choice in the mids, and at $645k, he may have to go.

Pendles JPK Bont Fyfe Titchell Beams Sloane Heppell is my midfield. Strategy this year is load the midfield with premiums and 2 mid pricers; hopefully I can then upgrade the lowest performing to Dangerfield by the bye rounds.

Backline is quite thin with Hibberd, Laird and Adams+ rookies
Forward line is even thinner with Ryder, Bennell and Macrae plus Francis and Ainsworth.
Definitely could end **** up but the wealth of mids options is just too enticing for me.

He's way to hard to trade in during the year, he just never dips enough in price. He had back to back sub 100 games this year (round 20 + 21) he hadn't done that since the 2010, which was in the Grand Final and the Grand Final Replay.

In the replay he scored 141 DT...
29 touches and 11 tackles, must of kicked at 20% to get such a dodgy SC score.

Edit: Lenny Hayes scored 174 in the drawn match, what a man.

BJ 162 in that match, too. Always thought the Pies would spank them the following week. Pendles and Swan played very 'meh' games while Hayes and Goddard played the games of their lives and they still didn't get over the line. Sorry SincMagic

I think Treloar will go bang next season, averaging 115-125 (same as Pendles), and he's my fav and I love him!

Why are you trying to convince me to pick him Haha, I know Pendles is a gun
I want Pendles and he most probably will start in my side, but if I need to improve my cash generation, out of the 5 mids I like, he'll be the one making way

To justify my selection, I think:
-Treloar and Bont will go SP
-Fyfe will bounce back to his best
-Danger will again go 130 and dominate

Leaving Pendles, who will pump out his usual ~120 again, but for cheaper I can get Bont and Treloar, who I believe will do something similar
