Thanks meima. Seems odd that Goddard didn't get a stat in nearly a half of footy. Strnadica must've cut him right out of the game????

Goddard is pretty big like PR mentioned, I think stranadica is doing alright rather than cut him off due to big score from Claremont from the first three quarter. Put it this way Goddard ease off rather than stranadica been great in the ruck .

If I am not mistaken peel reserve score after halftime is under 10 .

We've got no confirmation of anything yet, so let's not get too ahead of ourselves. But IF it is another injury of note, I think he becomes a re-rookie option IMHO. It's quite a luxury having such an injury prone, even if talented, player on the list when you could be looking at another young hopeful showing us something, especially when we're rebuilding as we are.

I thought he was one of Peel's best. His kicking was good and he competed all day. Unfortunately I don't think he has the tools to be best 22 for Freo, but credit where it's due.

My partner happened across one of the young player's parents last night at her place of work, and got chatting. They said he was sick so was withdrawn from the team. How much they're in the know, of course, is another thing, but you'd assume they heard it directly from their son (who played with Peel yesterday).

When I had a good look at Mora live last year it was really noticeable how much agility and speed he had lost as a player, unless he's somehow magically improved that substantially this year he's 100% finished AFL wise.

Apeness apparently was a knock on the knee. Hope the info is right because he deserves some luck.

The Sunday Times reported Apeness got through 3 quarters unscathed. A knock to the knee would certainly cause pain and needing assistance and no doubt they would immediately pull him out of further action.

The Sunday times also reported that Zac Dawson was a late out due to illness.

Take the Sunday times with a grain of salt etc I know but best not to pre-empt disaster. Also I got the Sunday Times for free as I was exiting Subi oval after the game.

As Meima says we will sweat on the HBF injury list on Tue. Hopeful it is minor for Apeness.

Reading that only confirms how much improved our depth in the back half is, but we could really do with some
more mids/forwards.
The real shame is that Yarren let himself down, and the club.

Probably because it looks too tall and slow but maybe not. Strnadica absolutely has to play Reserves again. Get the feeling Deluca isn't quite ready - he would make a difference if at full fitness. Need Sheridan to play inside mid and play a cracker to have a chance I'd think.
