Are you serious mate? You think BF is for serious talk. Even the best teams have boards that have wild speculation etc. Didn't even realise you were an Adelaide supporter.

Also, l don't see how us posting information etc, even if it is false (still could be true) is going to affect the daily operations of the Lions and see us rise the ladder buddy.

Im extremely serious. You yourself said you were disappointed in players for drinking before games because of an 'article' you read. Its a bit silly to be disappointed in someone due to a ridiculous and unproven rumour.

Once again, l don't see how this affects the players what goes on on this board. Why are you even here?

Because he is correct and the sound of squishy, squashy shit you walking over as you're backtracking is deafening.

wtf, where is these attacks coming from?!
So believing someone from BF is a cardinal sin now is it? The poster said that he talked to some of the senior blokes. I believed him and just repeating what he said. Not sure why some of you are so upset about this. Thinking that someone posted somethign true and expressing disappointment in actions of the younger blokes.

Why are you so upset Iriel?

This will be my last post on the matter but if you feel that strongly over something someone said on the internet that is trivial in the main scheme of things, then maybe have a break from the computer today. Or PM me but l will just ignore you, so break time for you? Bye Bye.

You must be really sick of the sight of yourself by now.

I don't even know where to start. Can we cut the personal attacks and leave whatever the above convo is behind. Back to the preseason discussion.

Which article said players were drinking before games? Have you got a link to this?

FYI I think this is the post A mayes ing was referring to that mentioned the younger players drinking:

Hey everyone I ran into a few of the senior blokes the other week and a bit of a chat to em. Tommy bell is a great guy by the way. A lot of senior players are stoked Greeny's gone - bone lazy and a few won't be surprised if he doesn't get another gig. Having not really followed too much as of late I might be back on board this year after hearing what they had to say. Also talked a bit about standards and such, they're pretty stoked Fagan is on board, reckon he'll whip the younger blokes into shape apparently they aren't really too flash hot in regards to maintaining standards. They like to drink a lot apparently regularly going out before and after games (the before games thing really surprised me as I thought that was a well thing of the past). At least I think this year one thing we can look forward to is that the young guys will be forced to get the best out of themselves and they're really cracking down on the during season drinking, like that ain't gonna be tolerated anymore.

The players were all brought together for a big honesty session as well and a lot came out then (tbh it sounded like it was that session that was the end for green). I asked them a bit on Rocky but they didn't really say too much other than they think he'll be around for good and didn't have anything bad to say about him either. From the gist of things it seemed Leppa and Lamberts tried a little too hard to cuddle the younger guys and seems there was a bit of angst between the younger and senior players because the younger guys were able to get away with a lot more like drinking and partying a lot for example because there was a big fear about losing them again. Tbh they didn't sound to keen on lambo which surprised me but they're all definitely super excited for Fagan like I mean really really excited, I don't think leppa had that much respect which is unfortunate.

Looks like the Lions are really taking a professional non-bullshit approach this year which got me excited for the future. Anyway thought I'd just pass that onto you all - any questions feel free to ask I know there was more that was said but my memory is a bit hazy hahahah. If I remember anything else that seems important or interesting I'll let you all know but that I'm pretty sure was the bulk of interesting info.

So who is planning to go up to Pre-Season Training this year?
i will be there for sure. can't wait to see the new coaching team in action.

will try to make it on the 7th, hopefully it's an open session, just need to get a sitter for Rosie, Twerker, Strawberry, Ellie, Flappy and Silly.

It was a nice touch for Fagan to ask people to come down to preseason training so that he could get to know the fans.

if it's the same as last year (IIRC) it was monday, wednesday and friday open sessions at usually 9am. you never know what is going to happen though with Chris Fagan in charge, i would say there will be a lot of team/individual meetings early in off season.

just a question for anybody in the know. the 1st to 4th year players come back on the 7th of november and the 5+ year players a few weeks later, is that part of the aflpa agreement for player conditions or can the 5+ year players come back early if they want ie. it is not a forced recreation leave type situation?

IMO most if not all of those 5+ year players will want to get in early and impress, would not be a good look if they all come in early except for 1 or 2 eg. Rocky:oops:

I'll take a guess and say that Billy Puller is a bit of a pot stirrer, and none of the above took place.
