I'll take a guess and say that Billy Puller is a bit of a pot stirrer, and none of the above took place.

While he could no doubt be 'pulling' our legs, but he is not someone I'd expect that from. Surprised he was so open about it though.

Billy is doing something with pot, but I dont think it is stirring it. I have no reason not to believe him and he has been pretty consistent with his info before.

He's also not someone who reports an inside scoop every couple of weeks to get attention. I have no trouble taking his report at face value, remembering that any player who is talking to fans will have their own particular view of the world and their own biases etc.

Geeze bud I have been overseas the past year and a bit and haven't really followed the lions much. Only I just getting back into it and thought I'd pass on a conversation full of positives to the people that follow the lions the closest. I dunno why you have such a bee in your bonnet, I'm not a 'pot stirrer' (hahahah) because that shit is pointless. Chill bud, have a whippet and relax we're all friends here.

Back on topic - can we clone that Rhys bloke? How's that for above and beyond, very impressive reading that article.

When you are cloning you get a younger version right ... and we have DNA available for Voss and Black and Leppa and and and and ... :)

Possibly a silly question ... but those mask things that simulate altitude training they talk about in the article ... do we have any of those in the Lion's training cupboard (don't remember hearing about them before) ?

We don't have those I think. Do have one of those cute atmospheric cube things though which is cool. takes up about half of the recovery room.

If a younger Browny came through these days would he play the same role - ie is his height and style etc still viable vs current defence etc or would it translate fine?

R U joking? A champion is a champion.

I think he would be fine, but if we were cloning them I would get two for the forward line, one for back and one for midfield.

I was reading the other day about some famous ruckman (whose name escapes me) in the old days who was shorter than some of our bigger midfielders these days - independent of his skill level and champion background that guy would most likely get jumped over/reached over regularly these days.

As mentioned by another respondent - would a just-starting-Browny today still be groomed for CHF or would he be playing in the midfield etc is what I was getting at...

Twas Polly Farmer I believe

Twas Polly Farmer I believe

More like John Nicholls.......I would think.

"Nicholls played most of his football as a ruckman, and although at 189 centimetres he was not especially tall, he compensated his lack of height with his intelligence and imposing physical presence, which earned him the nickname 'Big Nick"

Could equally apply to Farmer though, who was "only" 191cm, but a champion ruckman.

(Start at about 1:15)

We had something very similar at my local. One of the fitness blokes made us do 2 pre seasons sucking through a cut down straw. Couldnt breathe through the nose as it was cheating. Not overly sure how safe it was. Worked a treat though.

You don't know Billy like I do.

Correct. But what I do know is that people on bigfooty come up with ridiculous stories/comments and the gullible folk run with it as gospel i.e. the person on this thread that said they read an article, when in fact it was just a posting. Billy saying that players drank before a game is complete nonsense.
I spoke to a farmer out the road yesterday and he told me that he caught several posters from here interfering with some of his livestock. So we will run with that story as well i guess

Or you could stop coming on to another team's board and telling them what they should and shouldn't believe. Each individual can make their own mind up.

Adelaide's board is missing a bit of grunt. Can we trade any of those posters to you for a second round pick?

Plenty of sickos on this board. I could definitely believe it and kindly ask where could I partake in this activity, also.

For an Adelaide supporter you seem to spend a lot of time on here picking fights and evaluating the truth of rumours. Surely the Adelaide board has some rumours you can debunk?
