Better than Selwoods ankle by the looks of their respective performances mate. :p :thumbsu:
I always thought it was too soon for Sel to return. He looked like a liability out there at times. Hopefully for our sake he's better off for having had the run.

Buddy ran out the game okay, but was visibly limited somewhat. Corked muscles can be nasty and have the potential to turn into compartment syndrome if bad enough.

It doesn't sound like his corky is too bad, from what I'm hearing. So, that's a relief from the Swans' perspective. Whether he plays or not, I doubt it will even affect the result.

Geelong have a perfect record playing after a bye affected round under Scott.
Macca has perfect record in personal milestone games......regardless of opposition...he is an anytime anywhere kind of guy!!
somethings gotta give!!!
End of the day we are the favourites for a reason, it will count for nought come the opening bounce. I really do not give a toss about the opposition and what they do, if we ensure we play at our best we will win. Control what we can control and we are off to Adelaide, no matter what the Cats throw at us.

Lets hope for an injury free game and its decided by the teams.

Saw a graphic (think it was from OTC?) of Richmond's players in the VFL that have played at AFL level, lauding their depth. Made me curious about ours:

Will Hayward
Oliver Florent
Kurt Tippett
Harrison Marsh
Jeremy Laidler
Aliir Aliir
Jordan Foote
Jordan Dawson
Dan Robinson
Brandon Jack
Michael Talia
Shaun Edwards
James Rose
Alex Johnson

Now clearly a couple of these may not be on the list next season but it's still a handy position to be in having this many players with some top level experience waiting in the wings.

You can measure the success of the Swans by the disappointment in the commentary team. Looking for a real downer on Friday night
I can see a whole new index coming into being. The Crestfallen Commentator Index; basic unit being a Disgruntled Dunstall, abbreviated to "a Disgrunstall".

"So, Pete, what a game that was. If we can just briefly look at the CCI for that thumping Swans victory. How many Disgrunstalls do you give it?"

"Well, Tommy, that was such an emphatic win however you look at it that I'd have to rate it a Nine. You just had to look at Jason as it dawned on him in the Quarter Time break that the Swans were already on their way to a Prelim against the Crows. He was practically inconsolable. The only thing stopping me giving it a perfect 10 was that the win was achieved over the Cats, Jason's old team's arch-rival. But really, at the end of the day, the Swans cruised effortlessly to 9 Disgrunstalls on the Cressy."

Ohhhhh 9 disgrunstalls would give Dunstall the disgrunstools I reckon....

We're a nightmare match up for Geelong.

They won't be able to kick a winning score against our backline, our forwards will overwhelm them, and after Dangerwood they simply don't have the horses in the midfield.

We show up, we win.

Posted this in the prelim thread last year.

Nothing's changed.

It's dropping which is great

Thank goodness, 15-20mm was a ridiculous amount of rain. It's also saying that the rain will start earlier. Hopefully the trend continues so that by Friday the rain will be done and dusted by early afternoon.
