Thoughts on Rohan Bewick and Sam Mayes scoring potential and job security wise?

Considering for sleeper picks in draft league.

Bewick is looking the goods this preseason so might be a surprise packet. Bit harder to get a bead on Mayes.

He's a forward at the moment. Not really SC relevant as he'll be subject to the usual young KPP fluctuations - very little floor when it comes to their scoring.

He's been playing NEAFL praccies. Was named in bests against Redlands. He's not best 22 at this point, and has some work to do changing that. Will likely be depth this year.

I think a lot of people have Keays outside the best 22. The unknown is whether the coaching staff agrees. He has played every JLT game (and was improved last game) and, unlike a few others, has the engine to play at senior level. I think that is keeping him in the selection frame when perhaps his output is questionable.

Lester is part of the leadership group so would be more likely to play regular senior footy at this point IMO. Across his career, he's been perennially on the fringe of senior selection though and I don't think being a leader will make him immune from being dropped at some point if his form drop.

In short, if you are need 22 games from either of these guys, you'd be taking a risk.

6 weeks until back to contract training apparently. Give it a week or two after that. Maybe round 7-9? Might be outdated info I'm going off though.

Likely, probably not.

He's an option, especially given he got picked in JLT3. But it's more likely that he starts in the reserves.

To be honest our guess would be as good as yours. There have been some hints that he'll play solo ruck in the early rounds, I'd just keep an eye on our round 1 team.

I feel it could be a horses for courses with Fagan and he could elect to play both when he sees fit. Of course, Martin is getting older and Smith will take over the ruck mantle when he departs, so he can't just be left to develop in the twos for the entire year. Stef is a bargain for what we know he can produce when solo, just feel the risk may outweigh the benefits.

Hey guys, how has Tom Cutler been as a defender, both last year and in this pre-season ? Heard quite a few people rate him but not sure how well he scores and if he's worth slotting in as a mid-priced defender.
