And if we offer that amount & he skips town for anything less than 750k he's being a greedy campaigner. Bloke is in the leadership group & clearly best 22. If Haw have a rediculous offer on the table you can't be upset about him taking it.

I've been driven too it by watching too much football this weekend.

We can't sign our own players that's depressing, somebody else is leading the chase for everybody we want that's depressing.

The Red Sox blew a lead to loose to the Yankees that's depressing, Toby Greene has brought mma to football probably giving the football community a heads up to how it could be used to win say a grand final. In the process he has probably blown my plan to category b rookie John jones if we look like making a grand final, that's depressing.

The only cheerful part so far has been that Fremantle got flogged and the tigers couldn't beat an under manned Geelong.

The carpet matching the drapes is an old myth I've known several young women with white or very fair natural hair who didn't have a matching set. Don't blame Jon snow he's got no idea it's his Aunty.

It's still a long time to trade week.

Lonie and Sav have not been offered contracts yet, they would be silly not to be looking around.

I'm saying losing Rooey, Joey and Roberton along with Savage means just to be as good as this year we need other players to take up their slack. I'm saying that we need 4 or 5 not to finish ninth.

Some clubs will drop but some will improve. Im saying if we can't unload Hickey for a second, our first pick is going to be in the third round. Assuming Kelly costs 2 firsts. We swapped our second for Steele.

Savage's recent play has guaranteed one of two things;

1. a contract extension with us
2. a decent pick from another club

Lonie may well be looking around, I have confidence he'll be a good player in time but if he goes he goes.

As for the 4 or 5 to pick up the slack, well you need that every year and you expect it from a young developing team. We've easily found 4-5 have career years this season and there's no reason why that wouldn't continue. I'm not concerned in the least where our 2nd pick will be if we have Kelly in RWB. I personally wouldn't trade Hickey just yet...he's contracted til 2019 so why would we be rushed into a trade if it wasn't firmly in our favour?

We can't be concerned with what other teams are doing, we build and develop the right way & things will take care of themselves.

Huh. Its relevant. He has been spoken about as a trade prospect and I have heard he has had some mental health issues and someone mentioned maybe other issues.

Lever already taller and would be close to Rance's weight. I see what you're getting at but Lever isn't a key defender just as Carlisle isn't a key defender...he has an amazing ability to read the ball and sag off his direct opponent to impact the contest.
He's the best young defender I've seen come through in a long time.
