That's not really upping the offer is it? It's just paying a higher percentage at the start.

What is the offer over the 9 years meant to be?

I assumed it was that per year with a heap in the first year, that's absolutely a nothing tweet.

It says 1.9 mill front loaded. Not 1.9 a season.

All that means is more tax year one. Doesnt mean more money at all.

Sounds like smoke and mirrors.

Next thing people will start telling me that profit on a P&L means something.

Anyway it is TR. Lols
No....It means more money even if it is front loaded.

Quick question for all the norf lurkers.

I keep hearing that he loved the club growing up, that he adores the club and that norf if where his heart is.

Can you please help me understand why you have to keep upping the offer for jelly? After all, he BFNAAK. I would have thought he would play for unders, he loves the club so much

The net present value of the offer would certainly be much higher with a front loaded contract.

I'm not sure I get that. He can get a mammoth 2% interest on his money. Big deal. May actually pay more tax. In the end there will be bugger all difference. Anyway I don't believe that guy previously so I'm not believing him now.

You can fixed income yields much higher than bank deposits.

1.9 mil frontloaded could mean 7 mil over 6 years, his last year sitting on 500k or whatever. It means the bulk of the contract is paid out early, if I remember right Riewoldt was on a frontloaded deal with us to keep money for players a few years down the track. It would be perfect for North to do that, given they have so much money available.

West Coast match up well v GWS is all I'm saying. If you think previous meetings were a walk in the park, then you are just plain wrong

I believe GWS will win, but it's going to be a lot closer than people think
I think WCE are gonna cause an upset. GWS are self entitled FIGJAMs. None of em play for eachother just contracts.

No it says 1.9 mill front loaded.

That does not mean 1.9 a year.

A source close to the Kelly camp blah blah blah......

1.9 would be extraordinary. That's like $10.1 million for the other 44 players or how ever many we have these days. That would **** you up if you had any other star quality players who needed contracts.

Its actually the single reason he hasn't signed with North yet. His love for the club is so great, he can't bring himself to screw all hope of further building a viable list.

With you grasp of financial math your welcome to be on the other side of my trades everyday.

Yep you should be able to get about $35,000 PA on a term deposit of $1 million.

This is St Kilda you're talking about:

More likely that we're 5 points down 10 seconds left and get nuked just as Blake Acres marks 30m out directly in front.

No the ball would leave his foot and the blast would blow the ball off it's trajectory just to make the pain more agonising. We'd then have to sit and wait 6 minutes until the back draft sucked us into it's vortex.

That's correct Gringo but it isn't a difference of a million dollars and secondly the tax on that is 17.5K. That leaves 17.5 if it was a million but its about 600K so lets say 20k interest and 10K tax. That leaves 10k profit which can be rolled over. I get that but you are getting less interest on your other years so in the end its stuff all.

Acres kicks the winner with 3 seconds left. The goal umpire calls behind but it is indisputably clear on the replay that it is a goal. As they are about to announce it is a goal we are completely nuked.
