We footy fans can tend to get extremely emotional and even unhinged when it comes to our teams.

But I think at times like this it's best we pause, digest any news and respond in a mature way.

Josh may choose to come to the Saints or may choose to stay with the Giants. It's his choice.

And should Josh Kelly elect to re-sign with GWS my mature approach would be to tell him to GAGF; to hope his 2017 form was just a fluke and that 2018 sees him reduced to mediocrity and that GWS implode and miss the finals for each year he remains there.

TW: North upped offer to JK. Currently $1.9M front loaded.

If true I reckon that's us out then. He'd be insane to turn that down. It would be at least double his GWS wage and I hope we don't go into bidding war, he either comes for what we are prepared to pay or let him walk. That's nearly double Buddy who is probably the best player over the last 5 years.

It says 1.9 mill front loaded. Not 1.9 a season.

All that means is more tax year one. Doesnt mean more money at all.

Sounds like smoke and mirrors.

Next thing people will start telling me that profit on a P&L means something.

Anyway it is TR. Lols

West coast mids are too slow
no Mumford means the ruck dominance becomes a 50/50 and with Petrie playing the game of his season last week backing it up is going to take some task..
plus remember West Coast are a shakey team on the road , yes they beat port on the road but that was more ports failings then West Coast punishment.. the WCE scored 1 goal in almost a half of footy last week they pulled off a big win but they are hardly in form based on last week
West Coast match up well v GWS is all I'm saying. If you think previous meetings were a walk in the park, then you are just plain wrong

I believe GWS will win, but it's going to be a lot closer than people think

That's not really upping the offer is it? It's just paying a higher percentage at the start.

What is the offer over the 9 years meant to be?
The net present value of the offer would certainly be much higher with a front loaded contract.
