How can you be sure Brouch doesn’t crumble again?
How can you expect Doedee to come in without a single AFL game and replace a AA squad player?

Quite frankly how can you expect for us to get much more upside. Most players had career best years. Gallucci won’t play more than 10 games.
Hampton is made of glass
Seedsman can’t tie Smiths boots
M Crouch will get more attention
Milera hasn’t improved since his first game in 2016.

Can you explain to me what our strategy is? Are we going for a premiership next year or not? Cause I can’t figure it out
Improved an A grader in a weakness and lost an A grade player in an area of strength.
Brought in depth and improved our draft picks in one where SA picks are highly rated

Today We have a fit list Barr Smith.
Brad Crouch will not crumble. His ankle is fixed.
Matt Crouch role is hard to tag, pure inside mids fight for the first touch a tagger does not affect that much. Also more attention on him means less on Sloane. Brad and Gibbs
I expect Doedee to come in a Play a role, As for replacing an AA squad, I expect Talia to have an AA season. along with improvement from Hartigan.
Gallucci will play more than 10, easy and he is a better prospect than CC.
Seedsman plays wing and is a better kick than Smith also he will also go along way to cover Smiths meters gained, from the Wing.
Smiths Direct replacement comes from Hampton, Milera, MacKay, Pohokle, Gibson, then there is Cheney and CEY.
But guess what we get Smith back late in the year and for 2019.
I like what you're saying.. But seeds is not a better kick.. Smith is lethal! Not sure if his injury will affect his kick though.

Seedman is regarded as the better Kick by more than me, His short kick is a big improvement on Smith and His Long Kick is even Better.
Smith has a very good long Kick no short kick.

To early to call until the draft. If we get Fogarty with pick 12 then it’s happy days. I’m actually stoked we got 12 for Charlie. Prior to the prelim final if we were offered anything higher then pick 30 I would have wet myself.

It’s just a shame that our starting 22 in 2018 will be weaker than what it was pre-trade weak. This go home factor issue must be priority numero uno for this club. Such a shame.

And a full preseason into greenwood to improve his tank. That the thing I'm most excited for in 2018.

- 2 firsts for Lever, good result considering situation

- Comfortable enough with the Gibbs deal

- Obviously OK with accepting 12 for Cameron

- Don’t particularly like the outta-no-where Gibson acquisition, if we were going to go for a 30+ veteran why not more of a need with Puopolo?

- Fingers crossed Francis doesn’t make us pay for not wanting him

- Nice Draft position in particularly 2018*, *If we can grab good SA talent

- Overall trading grade = B

- Needs addressed, 1 out of 3 = C

Does anybody have any info on the new live trading of picks on draft day that will either be happening next year or the year after?

I loved Port’s list manager’s response to this.

Trade Radio: “Are you paying part of Lobbe’s salary at Carlton?”

Port guy: “No comment.”

Lol.
Relapse's fantastic stat of Port draft picks 2013 - 2017

Top 15 - ZERO
Top 30 - THREE

Out - running as fast as they can
Trengove ( who they ended up with nothing for because of Motlop and Rockliff)
Impey - picked at 20 - sold off at 31
Young
Lobbe (may or may not be paying some of ridiculous salary despite the "salary dump" theory
Austin - just ask Janus
Ah Chee - Port Maggies B & f

Monfried retired

Still on list Toumpas and White.

In
Motlop lol
Rockliff - I'll give them that.... sort of ....
Watts - 5 coaches couldn't get him playing anything like serviceable let alone "elite"

This draft
First pick 46

Excellent

How, Smith is a running defender, CC is a defending forward who has the occasional run in middle.
We bring in a an A grade mid in Gibbs and an average mid in Gibson.
CC along with Lever would be two of the easiest players to replace in the side and Improve on.
Smith different but we have several players that will only be under his output. With Gains made in the Middle, we can cover his lost for a year.
Then we have Smith returns late in 2018 and Playing in 2019.
So those times I have seen Smith run down the wing and kick goals have been wrong? And those times I saw Charlie either running down the wing or coming off half back were also wrong?

Motlop sucks mate. We'll be laughing at Port in no time.
NO MEMBER of the Motlop family has performed well after reaching 27 years old

Still being formulated by the AFL ......details of how it will work, will be released to clubs a week b4 the next draft

Can someone please confirm how many 2018 early round draft picks we have banked in this trade period?
Two (Melb & ours) ....plus Carlton's 2nd Rnd, which could be #21-22 .........this also depends on FA compo picks of course
