It is improbable this year as Rory is currently a best 22 player, we have no reason to force him out (after all, we're in job-saving mode in 2025) and Rory still puts up a good level of production. If he's out of the best 22 by the end of next year, he may seek a trade, but it's hard to see where a buyer is unless Adelaide bounces into the top 6.

We'll likely move Rory back to the back pocket and use him as another interceptor/two-way defender in 2025 - seeing we mucked around with that in the back end of 2024.
He's not best 22 . The problem is nicks.

Haven’t heard that. Where did that come from?

Was mentioned around the time that it was a leadership group and Tex decision. To insert himself would imply he wanted to drive the outcome. Sloane was captain when we descended to rock bottom, but Tex was still a spiritual leader and our spirits plummeted to previously unexplored depths. We need to rid ourselves of everyone that played under Neil Craig or was a leader during the Pyke years. Tex satisfies both criteria.

Laird looked pretty ordinary in the backline unfortunately and we played worse with Hinge not down there.

Very awkward situation given that he's got two more years on good money.
Hinge does seem to struggle a bit more when he plays further up the ground, he’s more consistent when he’s playing a more sweeping/intercepting role in defence.

Unless he can reinvent himself as the impact sub or something, he's just going to have to wallow in the SANFL while more talented players go past him.

As I have argued with many posters before, Hinge is best suited to backline than wing imo.

I'm sure being told he would be starting in the SANFL would make him explore opportunities. We shouldn't make the team weaker because we feel obliged to put him in the side
When he’s on 800k for 2 more years he doesn’t need to do shit.
