AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
AFL affiliates are stacked with talented but young players Struggle to play 4 quarters and are playing on potential. For example Horsley would be better than every 1st and 2nd round draftee over a WAFL season. However he is at his ceiling. In three years some will be playing AFL and be way better. At 18 they are not.Obviously there are a lot of AFL-affiliated teams in the VFL which mean there are a lot of fully-professional footballers playing week-in/week-out in that comp.
But if you take the AFL-affiliated players out of it, the results on the board are that WAFL-representative teams are stronger than VFL or SANFL rep teams.
Subi is arguably the 19th ranked club in the country, in terms of sustained performance and off-field strength.
I see what you mean. Not really due to draftable players though
Probably, but there's more exposure vs AFL listed players when you're in the VFLI see what you mean.
But if Pickett was playing VFL don't you reckon someone would have picked him up?
Really? Well that's good. Two totally anonymous players in him and Schultz. I'm not against it by the way, and believe this is a big part of why we pay guys to do the scouting. Completes the box of chocolates for this year's draft. Rookies to come.Brett Bewley is another player I like
Mature age mid from the VFL. From Williamstown like Schultz
Think he'll make an impact next year
No carter or Oreilly
Next board meeting will be tense
