Maynard played on Greene last night

Just a question as im not having a go at you but find it really strange you would say you prefer their 2019 1st rounder when just about every post we read from the suns supporters are saying picks mean nothing and we need quality players who will stay and create a culture and winning team and continuity

But with this you mention you rather a pick
Oh was it? that's my bad, still had a great game though.

I say 2019 first rounder because frankly we don't have enough list spots to work with another 2018 first rounder. 2019 first + Langdon would be a lot more feasible for us right now than Langdon + 2018 first rounder

I think you mistake me saying I would rather a 2019 first as saying instead of the overall deal. Would still be dependent on Langdon coming

U do know the best players get private school scholarships from about yr 8?

Yeah - apparently he shot up 10cm in the last 12 months so too late a bloomer for the private schools to get their hooks into him that early.

If my son got offered a scholarship for footy or any other talent I would be wrapped and be accepting with open arms.

Often they are not full scholarships so the balance can still be 10 or 20k per year!!!

Big no from me. We have to take Lukosius with 2. Then I wouldn't take only one of the king boys. So Lukosius and Rozee for mine.
Bailey Smith and Lukosius for me.

Saw him on future stars.
The kid is jacked...
Huge.
Loves the gym and running
And his captain of the dragons

Says his parents are both Gun runners.
Hence he the best runner in the draft

I was talking to a client of mine who was high up teacher at Camberwell Grammar - said they usually would wait until year 8/9 until they started handing out the footy scholarships as the school wants to know the kids are committed to footy and they just weren't a big kid that stopped growing

Many of you lads have more an idea of draft expectancy than me. Another south Australian. Eagles Jack Hayes , is he being looked at or touted as likely to be drafted? Had a great preliminary final today. Had a good few weeks really

Jack Hayes (Woodville-West Torrens)
A late bloomer who has only cracked into the Eagles' senior team in the past two seasons. The 22-year-old half-forward is an exciting talent. At 193cm, he's a great mark, has a penetrating kick and covers the ground well.

Callum Wilkie (North Adelaide)
There's some AFL interest in the 22-year-old utility, who has had a strong season for the Roosters playing across half-back, on a wing and a little bit through the midfield. Wilkie is a good size at 191cm and covers plenty of ground

More of outside the box thinking approach
,Bailey Smith and Rozee will come good at pick 2 ,3 long term . Can see both playing inside mid at NEAFL level and HF,HB at AFL level in their first year .

Lukosius a bit soft IMO . .

If it was Luko with either Rankine, Smith or Rozee you couldn't be too disappointed.

I am off Lukosius train , in term of KPP he is the best in this year draft but I am not too sure he is that type of player that suite Dew game plan .

He's athletic and can play Half forward, wing or half back in the Riewoldt mould. He's literally the prototype of the player Dew talks about wanting
But Dew also talk about Mid that can be flexible to play inside /outside , HF,HB .

swans board says newman could have played reserves final today but didn't - seems 100% gone.

Yes exactly.

Lukocious and Rozee were pretty forgettable in an unbelievable prelim final today.. Rozee does have a nice set of hands on him, took a good mark in the 3rd and was tidy by foot but nothing like the week before, and Lukocious for all the talk about workmate went largely unseen for large periods. I worry that people buy into his hype. Having said this it was a prelim final in the SANFL... about as close to the afl as you can get

Given the option I would MUCH prefer we get Sam Walsh

As far as I am concerned , they play in SANFL preliminary final.

He didn't qualify to play in their NEAFL team this week I'm pretty sure. Same with a few others.
Ok, I don’t know but they were saying Newman did qualify but a number of others (Robinson, marsh, fox, towers) didn’t
