Training Pre-season 2024 - Hump Daddy #19 Hype Thread! Dawn of Dimma

He knew their gameplan weaknesses when he coached them. They have a different couch and gameplan now.
If anything, the Richmond players will know Dimmas gameplan inside and out.
Players don't immediately transition to a new gameplan over the course one preseason. There will still be tendancies and habits that they'll fall back on early in the season, just like you'll see with our players as they transition from Dew to Dimma. Hardwick knows every one of those players intimately and knows the exact way to put them in a position to fail. Yze doesn't know Dimma's (or Dew's) gameplan intimately and won't be able to do that. The players aren't making those calls, it's Yze. We have the advantage here.

Yellow V Blue match sim. Let’s play overreact to who is in what colour.

Yellow team looks like the top side.

Sam Day in yellow
Tsitas in yellow
Fiorini in yellow
Bodhi in yellow?
Mac in Blue
Jeffrey in Blue

Yuck to all of that except Bodhi
Probably just be throwing magnets around/seeing different pairings/seeing Mac against top forwards etc.

I imagine the coaches would’ve wanted to see a heap of different looks over the last month of match sim so who knows.

Let's hope so. Alot of the senior guys who aren't moving the needle in the A team (it seems), isn't what I was expecting though.

Surely they just want the intercept players (Andrew and jeffery) to see as much footy as possible. If one missed out you could maybe understand but not both. The little clip on insta showed dimma giving mac some instructions as they entered the field, I think it could be a deliberate plan.

Secco on fire at half back according to Flanders in a podcast . (Unrelated to the match sim atm)

As long as we avoid the carnage the hawks are receiving

Interesting that mac Andrew played back/fwd and ruck for B team. Either he doesn't have a place for him or he has some sort of role for him playing any part of the ground. In the past when we have been struggling it would have been good to see him get thrown forward to see what he could offer. Just can't buy that he's not in the best 22, way too much potential to not be playing.

Secco about to get the Charlie Constable love from the fantasy world.

Should be interesting

Another side note from today's match, is day ahead of casboult? Surprising if he is. Looking forward to next Thursday to get a bit of a feel for what the thinking is.

Just to salivate a bit about our midfield and Matt Rowell specifically :)
MIDFIELD MOVING UP

After an injury-interrupted 2023 campaign, skipper Touk Miller sent a reminder to his teammates who the top dog in midfield is with a near best-on display.
Miller booted a match-high two goals and set the standard for tackle pressure and talk through the middle as he eyes a return to the form that had him in Brownlow contention only two years ago.

His partners in crime were equally as impressive on Thursday.

Matt Rowell showed a glimpse of his new-found attacking intent with a blistering run down the outer wing in the first term.
The 22-year-old’s off-season sprint training looks to have paid off, with Suns staffers declaring they had never seen him hit those speeds previously.

Noah Anderson was typically dominant in the middle and his extraction work top-class. If he can rise another level on his best and fairest 2023 campaign
