The Jong effect?

Round 1-12 when Jong played:
Dahl averaged 100
McLean averaged 74

Round 14-23 when Jong didn't play:
Dahl averaged 81
McLean averaged 97

(ignoring round 13 when Jong got injured in the first 1/4)

Hmm, telling stats, going to have to think Jong and hard about this.
Might have to put a Lin through McLean...

I think also to that Mclean was entering his back half of his 3rd year where he should be improving. His 4th year should be even better and he has taken and early that role from Jong whether he likes it or not. If they are both in the side together Jong will be forward with McLean in the guts now purely on McLeans performance in the back end of last year.

Dahl is in a contract year this year if that helps anyone

Unfortunately that doesn’t help his SuperCoach score if Beveridge is playing him in that half forward role instead of midfield similar to the back end of last year where he was replaced with McLean and other young guys.

That doesn't tell me anything :(

I think it’s irrelevant. Jong is a very poor mans McLean.

McLean improved drastically last year and was one of their best mids by years end.
That's it. all those numbers show is that Jong got injured and McLean went nuts at the expense of Dollhouse

Now factor in Wallis & Libba.

Haha yeah, I don't really know what it shows

Dahl plays more freely when Jong plays?
McLean took Jong's spot in the midfield?

Dunno lol

Parish and Smith hard to split, I think I am leaning towards Parish. JLT2 is a better indication of Dons complete side. Parish played in the guts, 11 contested possessions with only 2 clangers, realllly needs to up his tackling though. Both very risky imo to start (fwd choice is shit though)

part of me is thinking i shouldnt start with heeney and get him as an upgrade option due to his interrupted pre season.

interrupted preseason last year and came in and did this:

did that against the 3 worst teams and that was round 6-8 so i could still trade him in around then
they were his first 4 rounds. He played his first match in round 5

But fair enough re the 3 worst teams, decent point

Still, he came in without a preseason and did that in first 4 matches

Back your gut

Can get Christensen in as a forward if I sacrifice Bradshaw (MID) down to the budget priced Holman.

Am I mad? Otherwise I'd be leaning towards Darcy Fogarty although I'm concerned about his JS

I'd take Brayshaw and Fogarty every day of the week over Holman and Christensen.
