Think I'm going set & forget. Gawn & either Kruezer or Ryder.
I'd like too ....may still, would have to sacrifice Coniglio @ M6 to do ......would i gain much by the move Lycett to Martin ?

Changes after the weekend matches and more time to cogitate. I tried a lot of combinations with Lycett in as R2 but just wasn't comfortable - I'm thinking the Martin/Gawn set and forget is the way to go.

Have gone for three rooks in defence as that allows me solid lines throughout.

I don't see value in JOM based on his JLT showing at a similar price I'd prefer Armitage (was very keen on Griffen but when he was a late out from the JLT I've put a line through him). Came down to Cogs/Redden but feel that in the WEagles midfield it's going to be easier for Redden to step up to 110+ than for Cogs to break that in the GWS midfield. I thought TKelly looks good enough to be a valid alternative to the high end rookies and should offer more cash generation so am only going one high end rook at M7.

Heeney is far from locked but if he gets rid of the cobwebs in JLT2 he's in. Walters could also change - McLean and Lunchmeat pretty much locked.

looks fine to me...but i have almost the identical setup

Wow, we have 10/11 midfielders in common
Think probably 85% of teams will be similar ......it's those last 15% & ability to pick a diamond in the rough that will get sides off to a great start .....last year it was Nank, i missed that boat

Each to their own with Lycett, but the idea is to play rookies, generate cash and upgrade them to premiums. Lycett is neither a rookie or a premium. To start with someone at his price you almost need him to be a keeper, and I don't think he is, especially with nut nut coming back at some stage. There are always injury risks with anyone, but the idea of set and forget is one that really appeals to me, especially in the rucks this year. Trades are gold. We only get 30 of them. Probably need to allow at least 10 for injuries throughout the year. That leaves 20. One down and one up means you can only upgrade 10 premium players. I'm taking one risk in my backline this year, just as a lot of people will take a risk with Lycett. Each to their own. I'm just not sure such an important position is one to take a risk with. Good luck to those that do. Kreuz/ Gawn for me this year.

It's the flip side. If we had Dean Cox then I'd ignore Lycett. I'm not interested in taking out a loan for Kruezer. No.1 rucks rarely back it up, plus his injury history. All the other rucks have their problems. If you believe in miracles and NN plays soon, he will play very low TOG. WC always play two rucks and Vardy is down. Lycett's had a strong preseason. Tick tick tick, welcome my team. Now I can wait and see which Rucks I like.

I'm toying with Sloane. He got through the tag u think?

My point was, if u have Kelly, ur betting against coniglio busting out to uber premium.
Started off the season with a bang ...has a big # of home games in the first 10 games ....yes was tagged, but his last 4 games suggest he sorted that out ??

But this year we have Gibson, who'd i'd suggest will offer some protection

This is a key factor in the selection of Lycett .....will clubs play 1 or 2 rucks ....we get to see

I nailed Nank and Witts. ****ed everybody else however. FMD

I spend way too much time playing around with my side at this time of the year...

Set on the backline, provided enough rookies are named. Only change will be Naughton/Coffield

Mids are also set, as many premiums as possible, it is where the points are (always been my philosophy) Dow/Brayshaw/LDU/Brodie.. Do we need all of them?

Rucks I changed Kruez down to McEvoy/Stef/Sauce type

Forwards is the interesting bit. A lot of value picks this year. I will be targeting Heeney/Menegola as I think they are both top3-5 by years end

I dont know anymore, can someone ban me from the website until round 1?

I am thinking West Coast will play the 2 rucks which will therefore affect Lycetts scoring. Too risky for my liking. Best to set and forget. I think the best ruck combo will be Gawn and Martin. Pay the money and watch the points flow in

Martin in a set and forget is a nice theory.. but Brisbane are very bad and huge chance he breaks down.
