Its going to be a interesting year , I expect improvement from with in , not including the additions of Hannebery and Kent.
Our rucks will be a position where we will need to find a solution , are they going to bring in a Zac Clarke , Matthew Leuenberger , Zac Smith , Jarrod Witts , Marc Pittonet , Ivan Soldo , Callum Sinclair , Billy Longer or Lewis Pierce all have not signed a contract for next year yet.
west coast are eyeing off zac clarke

Both Voss and Milne seem very fringe guys at the moment. They might come on next year in leaps and bounds, but at the moment they are rookies at best (from what I gather).
if they are rookies, i hope we pick them up.

i agree with pretty much all of that its one of my pet hates when i hear people call players lazy or disinterested as thats usually the furthests from the truth .. the issue i have with Billy is to do with his lack of awarness of the game i take the Melbourne game we almost lost as an example the amount of times Billy didnt get back to the goal line on set shots was deplorable, the fact he was looking in the wrong direction to allow Gawn to mark in the goal square was costly ... these were things that injury didnt hamper him with this was him not being aware that as the big guy it was prob a good idea to stand on the goal line to try and in defence get a hand to the ball or in our goals stop Gawn getting his hand to the ball... the marking contest he got lost not knowing where the ball was .. the lack of awarness was the think that i worry about longer

That's experience though, seriously watching the tape the next day would have burnt into the minds of the players involved. None of them will make the same mistake again. We have Longer and are going to have to back him in now.

North can’t be that dumb but you never know.

This should keep people busy until the draft and make it easier to draft king now we’re getting Kelly.

They have spent up big, surely they aren't spending 75% of their cap on half a dozen players? I reckon they went out and accumulated players who were available instead of waiting to see if Kelly might or might not come.

Non of those rucks are much of an upgrade on what we have IMO , Get mids and the ruck is not so much of a problem - Re WCE and Tigers

Lol people actually think we are a chance at landing Kelly.

Shiel was being pushed out by his own club because he wasn't anywhere near the calibre of Kelly and they need to cap to have a shot at retaining him.

Yet we couldn't even get him across the line despite having the bigger $$$ offer by some margin along with the better draft hand to facilitate the deal.

We couldn't get it done

But yeah sure we are a chance at Kelly
we are littterally 100/1 to get Kelly ... we will like most clubs enquire about him because he is a very good player but we were never really a chance at him last time so i cant see us suddenly becoming an chance at getting him this time...
as for shiel we were never really in the race for him he had two clubs in mind and thats all our big $$ offer distracted him from that for a moment but we were still not a likley chance , as for our draft position to get the trade done that doesnt even come into consideration, clubs dont even try to talk to players if they havent got the currency to make the deal happen ...

honestly i think we will need to concern ourselves more at what we have coming out of contract ourselves ... once Gresh is off contract we will have just about every team hunting him (something we havent had to face for some time) we will be putting work into locking him up to a long contract first and foremost

the rumour ive heard is a couple of clubs have shown interest in him... will be interesting to see if he gets invited to train with a club ...
he certainly has improved from the player he was at Freo , maybe the pressure of the big time is now off his shoulders? maybe he is just enjoying footy more nowdays? maybe hes matured??? but in the space of 12 months hes gone from being totally out of the conversation of an AFL gig to this point in time having a few clubs having a sniff around ...

Mumford is retired and 32 isn’t he?

We also said we wouldn’t have traded for Jake if we knew prior to it
no we never ... we were mighty pissed off that the tape got released just as we signed him, we were pissed that the scandal rocked what should have been a big moment for our club landing a significant player in a trade, we also were pissed that had the video came out before we would have got him cheaper (although he did lose some $$ from the video) but to say we wouldnt have gone after him is totally incorrect , he had a dumb moment caught on film there is no issue with drug abuse its just a case of a rich young guy being stupid and getting caught

Hogan will never go to Freo and here's why.....

On [device_name] using BigFooty.com mobile app
to be fair i was also hearing the same stories about Hogan not wanting to be at Freo from very very reliable sources ... but like everything time changes everything as time passes perceptions change, situations change, prioritys change
