What l'm referring is it seems there are different standards of performance expectations depending on your name.
Of course they are ,some in leadership group (touk ,swallow) , some just returning from injuries or interrupted pre season ( ah chee),some playing in various position ( Martin , Bowes) , high profile trade in ( Weller) only 22 years with four pre season .

It's true. Sexton has impacted MAYBE 3 games at best this year but gets a game each week. Young the same. Day has gone goalless in 6 games already too.

the only reason to be playing someone each week who ISNT impacting the game, is if they're a younger player like Bowes, Ballard or Ainsworth who need the experience, which does beg the question: Why aren't Brodie and Scrimshaw playing

The match report on the GCFC website has lowah and budarick as bests but also Graham, wright and spencer.

Not 100% sure but from years observation I think it's someone from each team inputting them. This is because sometimes after the game, there is one team that has put in their bests, but the other team hasn't yet.

Sometimes the bests change from the NEAFL site to the official site, the Swans have done this a few times, but not it's not a regular occurrence. My thoughts are that they've watched the replay or looked at the stats a day or two after and adjusted them.

The correct stats are now in if someone wants to copy them from neafl site

2MP the only Sun to get Coaches votes.

Peter Wright has collected two votes in the NEAFL MVP Award for his efforts against Sydney on Saturday.

Despite going down to the experienced Swans side 15.17 (107) to 6.4. (40), Wright kicked the opening two goals of the match and finished with 22 disposals.

Wright has been showing consistent performances in the NEAFL as he regains his match fitness and will certainly put his hand up for senior selection this week.

The NEAFL MVP Award is presented to the player uniquely judged the best in the competition by a combination of umpire and coaches votes.

The votes are submitted post-game cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis. As such, the maximum amount of votes a single player can earn per match is 10 – courtesy of the maximum five votes from both umpires and coaches.

Gold Coast v Sydney9: Darcy Cameron (Sydney)

No Allies game for the Academy boys, so it is good to see Lachlan McDonald back in the NEAFL side - keep an eye on him because he could be high on our Draft board after starring for the Allies. Ryan Gilmore has also come back from Allies and is also a big chance of getting drafted.

This is a very, very young NEAFL team with 23 year old Jesse Lonergan the oldest, however, there are some great stories here for our list development. Lonergan and Kolodjashnij returning to football with a couple of months to stake a claim for the futures. Josh Jaska returns from injury to play FF, one of 3 Rookie listed players who will be hoping to consolidate their places on the list. There are 5 Top age Academy players, 4 of whom have represented the Allies at the U18 National Championships, who will be looking to promote their Draft stocks. There are a further half dozen Draft eligible guys who will return next year to the Academy if they are unsuccessful this year. Bottom agers Josh Gore and possibly Ashton Crossley will play in a side with 4 players who've had 20th birthdays.

Heres a breakdown of player ages and status

1QTR, GC leading by 1 point. Nice contest, tackling by Suns. Missing tall forward. Highlights, Scrimshaw's one-hand mark, Crossley's bump. Brodie is the best for me, Scrimshaw also good. I especially like that may be for the first time I see Brodie and Scrimshaw organising troops. Scheer also good.
