No because dew understands he can't play there. Why play him somewhere he is going to be completely unaffected
So he is another Clayton drafting mistake then . He is a top ten pick not a 30+ Sam Mitchell or rookie pick like Priddis or Barlow .

I understand where you are coming from but team balance is very important, if we 4 slow inside midfielders when we win the ball inside we have no outside midfielders to move the ball forward. Young needs to replaced buy a medium forward. Which we don't really have
That's fine, we're going to disagree on this. I just think, on-field, we are as broken as we've ever been. I'm not too interested in our current 'balance' because it's dysfunctional.

I'd rather be beaten with a slow team (+Brodie), than constantly berating each other about the four or five hackers we keep picking.

I agree with this but I actually think this is the worst season we've ever had injury wise and we just never seem to be able to get a run at it.
Lynch
Kolo
Hanley
Fiorini
Macpherson
Hall
Bowes
Barlow
Day

all best 22 players CURRENTLY out

then there's also

May
Ah Chee
Lemmens
Wright
Thompson

who have been out at various stages

plus players that are borderline best 22 that are also out like
Rosa
Nicholls
Scrimshaw
Wigg

I'm sick of using it as an excuse, but given that we had to endure 10 weeks of nonstop travel, and we also have to deal with this, I feel like we can't really judge our season based on the results we have at the moment.

I think you could genuinely make a more competitive team out of these players than what we had on the park today:

FB:Scrimshaw - Thompson - Bowes
HB: Kolodjashnij - May - Wigg
C: Hall - Barlow - Hanley
HF: Ah Chee - Lynch - Day
FF: Lemmens - Wright - Macpherson
R: Nicholls - Fiorini - Rosa

That is out bias assumption, did he actually play there under Dew.
Yes. Brodie was asked to do a run-with in (at least) one of the NEAFL matches. after the bloke he was supposed to be on had something like 19 touches in the first half they had to move Dawson onto him.

Who is the person he Tagged and who is his teammates playing alongside him . This is a team sport cannot just based on one match, NEAFL is not coach by Dew also . They don't play with the same structure .

Have to say absolutely staggered with the commentary surrounding young Will Brodie.
These forums give everyone the chance to have an opinion about club issues.
I respect other peoples views and like everyone sometimes in the heat of battle make a comment I later regret.
Will Brodie is a young boy who we drafted two years ago to give the opportunity to make it as an AFL player.
Like most draftees it takes time to develop to become a regular senior player.
Brodie like most has areas of his game he needs to develop; we have about 18 players in our senior team who are in the
same boat.
I for one do not know if his going to be star or not but honestly believe on his performances in the NEAFL has earnt
an opportunity in the Seniors.
The argument that he is too similar to our other mids is to me a load of garbage , most people identify we have major
midfield issues yet we don't give a young player whose one strength is finding the ball a go.
We are continuing to give games to several players whose major issue is getting the ball , just doesn't make sense.
We have lost 9 games in a row What have we got to lose NOTHING!
Have met Will on a few occasions and like all our young draftees cannot speak more highly of his attitude, manners and
pleasant nature.Remember he has moved along way from his family and friends and we as supporters should be
encouraging him in his pursuit to become a top Suns player.
Sometimes I wonder whether social media does more harm than good.

Brilliant.

*Edit: Brilliant might be a bit strong, but I do like the way you put it

If the word coming out of the club is he’s lazy then he should be called out on it rather than be surrounded by yes men sycophants telling him he’s wonderful and hard done by

He is not wonderful , but in fair assessment he should be allow to replace players like Risca and Young in the team . Young is a one trick pony and Risca hardly show leadership that required in the backline .

Based on yesterday's game all Brodie, Lonergan and KK deserve AFL opportunity. My guess, it will probably not happen against North.

What is youngs one trick? Because yesterday he didn't appear to even have one.

Very well said. Collingwood had a young player in his third year who just made his debut yesterday. No rumours that he has a bad attitude or wants to change clubs. Sometimes players just need to be patient until they get their chance, be ready when they get their chance, and take their chance when it comes.

Actually it's well documented that he was very lazy and uncommitted up until 12 months ago haha.

I’m backing in the New Coach Dew to set the standards he wants.
It’s the Coach first year of a three year contract.
He’d have his reasons to keep the likes of Brodie/Scrimshaw in reserves.
All these people that give themselves a wrap and chest beat by calling themselves “positive people” are in reality undermining our Coach and empowering the sooking of teenagers that may very well be needing to man up.

The Club have been very happy with Brodie and Scrimshaws recent form and effort etc.

TBH our inside mids are travelling well at the moment. Touk, Swallow and Lyons all with 30+.

Not to say I wouldn't like to see Brodie in the fold though.
Both Spitta and Lyons are handy players up forward. Putting Brodie into the team might actually help to make our forward line a bit stronger as well.

I was talking about Brayden Sier from Collingwood but I totally agree with your points.

Seeing a Mr Bods comment without Peter Wrights face staring right back at me just seems wrong.
