Why does the snow seem to be so dirty for just this?

It always looks so perfect and white every other event, but the landing zone for aerials looks like it was pushed together from slush in the car park.

Smother it with pine cones or some shit apparently to give them depth perception for landing

They place pine needles on top to allow them to have better depth perception.

They put pine needles on the landing so they can see it and they don't die, do the same thing with the moguls. Similar idea to the blue lines in other events.
