How so? Those numbers are up there with most. Also kicks a goal a game to go with 6 clearances. First year of concentrating on just footy. Huge upside imo

yeah actually he does sound like a very good prospect from the write up

im hoping a McAsey, Robertson, Rivers type slides through to Richmond but might be out of luck

Not saying he’s ahead of those, would take those 3 ahead of him. Just saying, he would be a good get if that’s how it pans out. Sort of seems like a Richmond pick. 18 tackles in one game will appeal to our recruiters

Not big on Bergman. Feel he’s overhyped due to his athletic traits rather than footballing ability, averages 14 touches a game. Strikes me as another Ben Lennon

Stephens I’m big on. But feel Rantall stacks up against him

Rivers is the other one. Looks all class. Could see him roaming across half back and pushing up the wings for us delivering to Lynch

I'm giving up trying to work out possible pick swaps.

Port had a pick (27?) that I expected to be used in Mead-matching and thought we could have got by swapping 2 of 38,39,41,56.
But now they've traded it away and have picks 12,16,18, 52, 55, 66, 67, 68, 72. How many list spots do they have? Surely not 9? What is their plan for those useless 60's picks they have?

Then I've been thinking we could offer something similar for Hawthorn's 30, which would be used in Maginnes-matching.
Now they've traded that away and have 11, 42, 50, 54, 63, 73. Basically one decent pick then shit-matching picks. Though it's suggested that they regained a 2020 second rounder so can now use their 2020 first rounder to get another high pick before the bid-matching. (or after matching the bid)

So, that only leaves Freo's 22 for us to aim for, which would be otherwise be wasted on Henry-matching as long as he's bid after 10.
I'm now expecting them to pre-trade that out for some random shit.
I just can't follow the intricacies or thinking behind most of these trades....

After some of the phantom drafts, I'd be happy for us to just stick with the 4 or 5 selections we currently have.

id rather 22, our second rounders are a little to far back for my liking but who knows. I think from 14-36 its pretty even just based on the profiles but I have no idea. Might even be 14-43 but I really know little about the draftees.

The other thing is do North want 26,27 and 30??? Maybe they want 19 from RFC or maybe they want RFC's 2020 first rounder?

Seems that way.....but who the **** knows?

The other thing is if RFC wants to trade pick 19 it is going to have to do that end of first night.

Also if RFC is going to try and trade for Freo's pick 22 or whatever they will be competing with other teams prior to and at the beginning of the next day.

There could be clubs wanting pick 19 from RFC end of first night.

I do not mind Miles Bergman on highlights but I do not think he will last to 19

Got a feeling Cooper Stephen may slide and we may pass.Is he that good or is it based on his draft testing I know his missed most of the season some say would be alot higher.

In his couple of games before the leg break was in great form with 52 disposals for an average of 26. Was still made VC for Vic Country even though he couldn't play - apparently great leadership qualities. So he misses the rest of the season in U18, doesn't kick a ball in the Championships but comes out and dominates the yo-yo. He just has the appetite, doesn't want to give up, kept having another go. He'll knock up getting it at stoppages. If he had had the chance to play, there are plenty in the know that would be saying he's Top 10. I'm not convinced Geelong will let him past their Pick 17, especially if they can land McAsey earlier, but they might run the gauntlet to say Pick 24 if he lasts. Would not be unhappy at 19.

Worth a shot later on in the draft.

Goes alright doesn't he! Loves the handling the ball with one mitt, wraps those fingers around and just carries it with ease. Kicks well for a big bloke, taps well to advantage and seems to have a work rate after the tap out. Likes to run and jump at the ball, but gets moved off it a bit too easily perhaps, but that would come with better strength and conditioning

Buckenara got NFI.

RICHMOND
The Tigers will have four picks inside the top 41, which is very handy for a team that has just won its second premiership in three years. This is a midfielders’ draft so expect the Tigers to add some players with pace and who use the ball well, while they might look for a nice rebound defender, given Bachar Houli is nearing the end of his career, Oleg Markov hasn’t quite come on and Connor Menadue has been delisted. I’d also look at an experienced ruckman from a state league to add ruck depth.

Draft picks: 19, 38, 39, 41, 56, 75, 77, 95

sounds like a reach

I think club boards will have diverged away from phantom draft “power” rankings by pick 19 it’s not worth worrying about so called reaching.

There’s always plenty of late bolters who the clubs rate far higher than the public.

And to be fair, far higher than each other.....................

So, to be honest, I haven't really paid much attention this off season in the Draft yet, but now its getting close, interest is rising.

So I know little of the players, so my questions is more about Positional needs.

1. What are the Postions/types of player that the Tigers need most (top 3 needs?)

2. And after thats answered, who are a couple of Draftees that would be in the mix/best fits for us at 19, then around the next 3 picks.

Cheers to anyone who may anser this.

If you're 89 points better than 2nd do you have any needs?:think::think::think:

Hey mate, maybe I should just give you a call to discuss what I just posted.

Always welcome mate, however there are plenty on here that put way more time into it than this lil well-read duck. It's the closest thing to a lottery the draft has ever been I think. Sure the intel on players is good, but live trading could mean anything happens at any time.
