The Magpies won't exist if we move to the AFL reserves.

The Magpies don't have any of the fundamentals in place, no zones, no juniors, no coaches, volunteers, support staff, no additional revenue streams, etc. There's just no way we can rebuild all these things, U18s, reserves, juniors, while still maintaining a 2nd AFL team.

AFL reserves comes along and we do what we should've done from day 1, we leave the SANFL for good.

Am I missing something here? It looks like they've been suspended just because the incidents looked bad. Shouldn't be anything more than a fine but this is the SANFL so both will get the death penalty.

To me the Prison Bars are the most important thing that needs to survive if D-Day came. I'd also hope an AFL reserves comp would have suburban home and away games so I'd still get to head down to see footy at Alberton every 2 weeks.

Well, unlike previous years, the club and the media are speaking out against the SANFL now and are spreading awareness of how corrupt the system is.
Think about it, if the SANFL prevent us from winning the premiership this year than it will only make them look worse, people will be getting suspicious.

Tweet was removed, what was it about?
Paraphrasing here but I think Houston said if North can have 19 men on the ground and still be able to win the flag, then these minor incidents should not be enough to rob Billy and Johnson a grand final appearance. #FreeBillyandAidyn

The magpies exist for the Power to succeed. Whilst it would be great to have a port SANFL side, an AFL reserves and AFL 1sts, it simple comes down to whatever helps our AFL side succeed.

I don't know guys ... why should these acts not cop suspensions? Fair enough if comparing to Fogarty getting off but I think all three have crossed the line.
Because the whole world is against us and every decion is because they hate ports...

The whinging on this is hysterical nonsense. Both deserve the suspensions.

Not sure that two players who get themselves reported twice in a month before a Grand Final deserve that much sympathy. If the appeals are unsuccessful, as I suspect they will be, and we take out the flag it will be despite these two and not for them.

Being reported though wouldn't necessarily indicate that they did anything that's worth being reported and suspended.

Yep.

This misses the point.

Do we think for even 1 second McBean doing the exact thing Frampton did gets a suspension here?

Leagues have been erring on the side of letting players play GFs after minor, in play indiscretions since the beginning of time. Look at Cotchin in 2017. Look at Toby Greene this week.

If you're arguing that it's not institutionalised corruption against the AFL sides, exhibit A is the long term free kick differentials. It's indefensible.

The idea that the Glenelg player was sick that night and still feeling the effects the following day is laughable and it should be bloody called out by someone in the media. He played out the game and i'd bet my house on him playing again this week.

The adjournment is absolutely bizarre. If we're waiting another day, why not wait until Friday when poor sick Curran will be magically well enough to be selected in Glenelg's side again.

I mean yeah they do deserve the suspensions.

Just like Flogarty does.

Just like Greene does.

Just like Cotchin and Harvey did.

The issue is that rules are bent further and further for allowing people to play big finals, as usual until it impacts Port Adelaide then suddenly it's look at the rule book we must make an example.
