All GWS memberships include priority access to the Grand Final. Even the cheapest ones if you look at their packages, unless I’m reading it wrong

But they had a ballot, shouldn't be giving a second chance to those who couldn't be arsed registering.

I have a mate who has missed out again and i would love for him to be able to get the chance go after he went to the trouble of registering for the ballot.

Don't get me started on the corporates. 40,000 seats to a bunch of non-compassionates. It's disgusting.

I'm a Priority 2 member & was successful with obtaining a ticket in the ballot. Category 7 top deck Row Y.
My wife however was unsuccessful (Gold member priority 3), so unless we get lucky it looks as though that once again both her & my son will miss out.

Hopefully I can at least get my hands on 1 ticket for my little boy. Fingers crossed.

Now that's where the allocation ought to be halved...let the corporates scalp for their tickets they can afford to do so...leave the leftovers for the long serving 25 years plus members!

Guys, there's no point in whinging about it... The Giants have their allocation, and they've got every right to try and get as many of their fans in before they hand back any unsold tickets. Anyone who gets in off the back of unsold tickets has done well... I'm not even eligible for our ballot (32 years total member, but only the last 7 consecutive after missing three years due to personal matters) and have no chance either way. Every one has a story on why they deserve a chance, but the reality of it is there's plenty of us who'll miss out. My view on scalped tickets, as much as I hate it, if you can afford to shell out for one to get yourself in and you can justify it, then that's a personal call, I can't afford it so no point me getting upset about it.
What is pi$$ing me off is those who've been successful in the ballot complaining that they've got to sit on level 4... give me a spell, I'd sit in the back row of the Olympic if it meant being there.
Fact of the matter is, we've got more members at our great club than the biggest stadium in Australia can hold.
If you get in by whatever method be grateful that you're there... there's many who'd love the opportunity.

If the GWS ballot stopped then a mass of tickets would be coming back to Richmond, but for some reason they are giving GWS members a second chance with the non GWS real members who will buy up and then scalp at inflated prices who are the problem.

Yep the system is just encouraging scalpers. All the GWS tickets available should have gone to RFC members who missed out in the ballot first.

My brother and his wife are Gold Members living in Queensland, he’s ten years older than me and stuck with the club through all the hard years, save our skins and fighting tiger fund patron. I’m hopeful there might be some tickets left for him and his wife to buy at 3pm tomorrow (I’ll be doing the buying for them they aren’t versed in that stuff) he had a bout of cancer this year which he’s through now but he lost his bowel which was just horrible for them both. Would be so good for him/them he missed out two years ago while I was there. Not this year sadly although my son Shadowthorn kept his MRC this year I’m stoked for him he got a ticket many of you know the battle we went through with him ten years ago, I unfortunately couldn’t afford it this year so I’ll happily be watching at punt road (I hope).
Anyone have any idea if there’s much chance of tix left at 3 tomorrow? Or if anyone knows of anyone selling at cost a couple of tix please PM me.

Afaik the left over gws allocation is from 11 for unsuccessful ballot members and from 12 for everyone else.

I thought I saw somewhere it's $20 but not sure.

They are also in the dark as to exactly how the unsold GWS tix are going on-sale to our members, couldn't get confirmation that people in ballot will have any preference over those that weren't

The problem is non gws fans who bought memberships on the chance they could get cheap gf tickets

I think I was a bit harsh with my earlier comment comparing scalpers to those that fence stolen goods. Not much mind you....

Just had a look at Super Bowl tickets. All sold through third parties for whatever they can get for them, average about $4000 per ticket. The fact the AFL reserve so many tickets for members is great in that context. Not that they couldn't always do better.

How will they know if you have registered for the ballot and missed out? I will try to get a ticket tomorrow as I missed out in that ballot. Just wondering though, will it be possible for someone else to try for a ticket using my barcode under their name or will Ticketek use my ballot details somehow to make sure it is me ordering?

Just bumped into a 93 year old woman in Ticketek, on the phone trying to call Benny Gale cos she’d been a Richmond member for 44 years and was allocated seats for the GF in the very back row of the MCG where she would not be able to see
