Seems a pretty underwhelming fixture.

Copped back to back interstate trip

3 six-day breaks in the space of 4 weeks including going to Adelaide.

MCG games are largely bundled at the end of the year.

Personally I don't like it, but the team has no performance excuses to make from it.

So AO twice again and North Melbourne at Etihad? Seriously we have gone to AO twice every year except for 2016. It is not like we are good there either.

Now we know why there was a delay in the fixture,n0rf whinging.

Too many Sunday games. For the biggest club in the land why wouldn’t there be more Friday and Saturday slots?

Start is tough. End is MCG followed by MCG ….

We should do well. But it's a fairly solid draw overall. Few consecutive 6 day breaks. Meh, all good we'll turn up in 2019 I reckon.

We have a 17 day break when we have our bye, long time without footy
We should organize a match.
BFTigers Vs Richmond.:)
Lets face it we'll give a better contest than Carltoon

Ironically.I miss the 1st 2 games against 2 of our biggest foes because i'll be in Qld.
But on the way back we play the Plastics at Spotless on the Saturday.
Never been interstate for a game.
Would prefer a more traditional interstate match in WA or WA to break the ice and not a Plastic setup. But oh well.Least i won't be outnumbered.:)

Our draw difficulty is skewed by the fact we can’t play ourselves

Edit: the ****ing ******s at Champion Data have classified Geelong as a top 4 team.

Edit again: apparently had something to do with points differential...

Yeah because those two massive wins Geelong had at the end of the season really meant a lot in the scheme of things.

Champion data biggest con since Pies had injuries.

Meh. If you can't finish top 2 with that draw pack up and close the club. Few more Saturday nights suits me. Quality time on the punt and with the little one then footy at night. Win win

Pies, Bombers win primetime battle

Chris Cavanagh

COLLINGWOOD and Essendon have been the big winners in the 2019 AFL Fixture, securing many of the key prime time slots.

On the back of their Grand Final appearance this year, the Magpies have been handed two Thursday night games along with seven Friday night fixtures, on top of key fixtures including their traditional Anzac Day clash with Essendon.

The Bombers have landed two Thursday night matches as well as four Friday night games, while Richmond has three Thursday and three Friday night games scheduled.

The wins for three of the ‘Big Four’ Victorian clubs have come at the expense of other teams like Cartlon, St Kilda and Western Bulldogs.

The Saints enjoy no prime time slots on Thursday of Friday nights, while the Blues and Bulldogs have just one each.

Fremantle and Gold Coast join St Kilda as the only clubs without prime time matches.

The AFL has scheduled eight Thursday night games in total this year.
