I mean, Setters could probably do with an intense 2 week training block, but that's still absolute bullshit.
Seriously the AFL is pathetic. Dangerfield hit a player in the stomach and swung for the head. A fine.
A tackle with one arm pinned two weeks.

I'm okay with him getting a week for that but two! Only reason I say that is because he's coming off a long lay off and I'm okay with his body getting rested from time to time and here's a prime opportunity.

Refuse to get too emotional about this one. Spent all my tickets yesterday.
Good test case. The outcome was awful but it didn’t get anywhere near the ferocity and double action of Gibbs on Gray.

It is outrageous that it was given 2 weeks. The club simply has to fight it.
The guy is only 60 kegs dripping wet. The carnage resulted from an equation best left to the physicists.
I really don't think he had him cold at all.
Powell tried to break the tackle, Setterfield was off-balance, the tackle slipped down a bit, Powell still had an arm free.
Well worth challenging.
No place in the game at all for sling tackles.
Sooner or later there will be a serious injury or worse arise and everyone will be on their high horse about it.
I’d be notifying clubs that the sling tackle is a 10 week minimum suspension.
Leave the club coloured glasses at the door , the sling tackle is extremely dangerous and has to be eradicated from the game.

The media and afl love us at the bottle of the ladder. They try and rub us out any chance they get. And you still think we don’t need some strong Carlton people in the media and afl now. People to stand up and call this BS. It’s becoming a joke now.
Here we have a kid who have played less than 10 games, no priors, who tackles another person with one motion and because he tackled both arms at once the player was vulnerable and got concussion. Yet he gets two weeks. The whole afl and media are so anti Carlton it is starting to wear thin to a point I really cannot stand listening to anyone in the media or afl talk about our club...

I understand penalising the sling tackle, those things were vicious. This was the perfect tackle pinning the arms to stop the handball....not sure what else he was meant to do.
Once again, the penalty based on the outcome rather than the action. Absolute farce.
