Who’s going to fall for Sloane and brad crouch??? Milera an interesting one as well. Reminds me of a much better version Hack Jones from the swans. Obviously can’t have laird, Smith and Milera but he looks like he will be a good POD this season.

I would have 100% locked in Brad Crouch had he got his applicable discount. Now it's risky, although looked very good today. As for Milera, I think he will have big impacts in games, but won't be finding enough of the footy to be a viable pick in dream team. Especially with his starting price of 540K.

Tons of midfield rookies popping up and more to come tomorrow like Smith and Hayes and I'd suspect Gold Coast will throw some rookies up too

Might only need to go 4-5 deep in midfield to start if Walsh, Hateley etc are the real deal and if Constable gets a run (proven u18/VFL scorer). Smith has big wraps on him while Hayes is a mature ager who was at Footscray for years previously so should be a good chance to play early.

Not sure on Butters as yet would need to see him again next week, on expensive rookies I'd say Walsh and Hateley are ahead right now as their job security/role seems secure, Butters and Smith are the next two down then.

I have M crouch, could see Brad very close to matching him but he would be a massive risk reward situation in RDT

I’m actually somewhat tempted. He looks confident in his body and has that acceleration which even in 2017 didn’t return until late season.

Can maybe expect scoring more like end of 2017 but durability and possible fatigued periods/rest a big concern

Considering that RDT and SC are run by the same organisation (Virtual Sports), I cannot understand how he got 30% discount in SC yet only 13 in RDT.
I'm with you, in that had he got the full discount here it would be a no brainer decision. I've gone with Sloane at that price.

I actually think brad is safer than Sloane in tens of average

The fear of him being tagged will always be there but with a midfield comprising him, Crouch * 2, Gibbs & others I'm hoping he won't get the tag as much as he did last year. Still, just pissed that Brad didn't get the full 30%.

Cousins is certainly putting his hand up today as a M6-8. Will be interesting to see if he can follow it up next week.
The kid can score too, had him like 2 years ago but he only played 3-4 games

Just hope we can trust Hawthorn kids again as their midfield injuries will give a few an opportunity, but as Clarko always seems to give them a taste early on in their AFL careers then sends them to the VFL for a long time before deeming them good enough or not, I'm not sure if I can trust them...

The way he picks kids will always give us mid pricer options most years though, Morrison and Worpel for example this year, Burton, Sicily etc in years past

If cousins looks a good option who has good JS and a chance to go an average of 85+ then a downgrade of Hall to him at M5 followed by 3 higher priced rookies is tempting me. Priced at 40, that'd be 45 points upside, money making equivalent to Hall going at 105-110 or a rookie going at 65-70.

Weak mid but if players like Cousins, Walsh, Bailey Smith have good JS and scoring then it may not be too much risk. I guess the %% saved would mean I could take those higher priced rookies easily, or could maybe go without a mid pricer for a premium elsewhere (eg greene to Heeney)

Seems JLT madness though jumping on Cousins at M5 but feel he's a bit pricey for M6-8 with other options in there

I'm finding it hard not to load up here on these expensive midfield rookies mainly due to the cash generation they'll produce, then I can load up forward which has weakish rookie depth, then also try and nail my back line which has too many premos and midpricers to choose from. I feel Walsh and Hateley are locks right now from them expensive rookies though.

I think Coniglio (Adams replacement) and Brayshaw are my big midfield locks right now

Anyone know why Josh Kelly didn't play last night? He's been my M1 or M2 all preseason pretty much

But yeah, lol at this backline

Laird
Lloyd
Whitfield
Sicily (played forward today though which is concerning)
Witherden
McGrath
Smith
Roberton
Mills
Williams

Lel

Yeah, job security is my only concern with him. A number of people have said that he would greatly benefit from Mitchell's absence. Today showed that is very likely to be the case. Just a shame that he is mid only.

interesting reading through Hawks rd 1 predicted teams he was missing out on a lot of them

What were they saying about Scrimshaw? Apparently had a good game today too
not sure, was just skimming through earlier looking for cousins

from memory from when i have previously looked into him he has not been high up but one of those wait and see how he goes types so with birchall out I guess a strong PS could play his way in but not sure

Is Hanley not playing tonight due to injury or just being rested?
i believe management but was no word wither way in the media.
Im looking more likely to downgrade Hanley to have 2 def rookies and take more of the higher priced rookies (usually steer clear but this years rookie class looks strong and I feel a lot of the cheaper ones look like low scorers) although he is still in the mix.

Think my team will stay a similar structure until next weekend or if an injury comes up. I guess rookies like Quaynor, Logue and a few of them Freo mids if they're playing might come into consideration, think it was Bewley and Valente.

Not keen on two midpricers down back, but they'll average 80-90 and outscore nearly every other option for their combined prices I guess, just hope one if not both can turn into keepers, think they're also the two who can go closest to a top performer in their position from all midpricers across the board, Greene might up forward but he'll be a rollercoaster. Hanners, Libba, Hall in midfield, nope, a value premium like Sloane, Shuey, Brouch etc is the better bet there, but I'll probably bypass as I was only keen on Adams who is priced at a little more, but had finger surgery.

Lynch and Shiels for POD factor, surely Shiels does more heavy lifting with Titchell out, he has history of going 90-100 regularly, with more responsibility he could go 105-110. Lynch to return back to his best and go 90-95. I could chop and change with Shiels though, but think I'm pretty settled on my forward line considering its lack of options.

Menegola played on the weekend and scored an 80 odd, that injured symbol can **** off, he replaces Dunkley from who I had in previously, perhaps Libba will take points away from him, Menegola is the safer, proven option.
