There are too many mid price options.

Liberatore, Viney, Birchall, B. Crouch, Roberton, Daniher. I am sure I have missed a few, how many of these guys can you pick? I can see merit for picking them all. So much upside.
Greene, Hanley, Hanners, the ruck midpricers.
Also good options at higher end rookie price range across all lines (Logue etc.).

Who gets no. 1 ruck at the Saints?

Looking very cheap for an expensive R3, helps with the byes, too. Unless you are going with a Westhoff/Lobb/Lycett swing, Sean Darcy or McEvoy, it will be great bye cover.

Lewis Peirce 235,600
Billy Longer 260,900
Can't answer that question, R3 interesting.
If G+G at R1, R2, it's 17%-odd of your cap in three blokes and you can't use R3 loop.
Looked at that one year but ended up going cheap R2 + upgrade path.
If they're no. 1, even if they're not quite up to it, they'll go 80-90 odd.

Looks like a Witts situation

Thoughts on T.Kelly? Haven’t seen many(If any) sides with him picked thus far. M/F so offers us that DPP. Is it just because there are greater players fwd to pick from or the general consensus is he won’t become that top 6 fwd and carries a too higher price tag for a second year player(Albeit a mature aged pick). I can see him avg over 100 this season and believe Gaz will play a more prominent fwd role allowing the likes of Kelly more mid time and scoring opportunity. Is the go home factor a concern?

If his heart is in it he could easily finish a top 10 FWD but if he's dirty about missing next years flag at West Coast then he could go bust.

Really happy with my team ATM .....obviously depends on whether we have "live" Rookies to help us ...and TWT on that

I've relented .....now have Gawn / Grundy as my Ruck combo .......I always have a slow start to each season, not this year baby !

Good stuff.

I’m leaning towards Grundy/Gawn aswell. If they go 130+ we’re toast

No thanks

Cockatoo might interest me if he looks ok as price is alright, massive durability concern even as a cash cow, though.
Fas and Elliott too costly for potential upside, Daniher the man most likely in that bracket.

Cockatoo has a highest season average of 60 odd and a highest score of 92 from 33 games. Represents as a very expensive rookie

You need to give yourself a good shake-up & slap around .....your search for that POD is giving you irrational thoughts ....snap out !

Changes I'm making to 2019:

No more speculative/'value' picks and an increase of premium options:
This goes for most mid-pricers, although I am open to a few, e.g. Blakey, Brayshaw and Lynch. By taking the players that you can almost guarantee to be top scorers, you theoretically can increase team output to begin the season, and reduce the risk of luxury trades.
Rookies have an average MVP value of $2,200 per point. Almost all other players will have the MVP value of the magic number, which is around 5440±50 this year. By having fewer premiums, there is space for more rookies, therefore, having a lower average MVP value and maximising value for money. To maximise potential point production, having the best of the best will be necessary, which, byes aside, might mean going with G + G in the rucks.
I have ruled out Liberatore - Last time he had a year off football his average dropped by 20 and 10 the year after that to 80. Going with the same trend, I don't see him averaging more than 75.
I have ruled out Williams - Only has shown potential to average 95+ but never really shown us he could. I would prefer to choose Hibberd at that price.

No deliberate 'loophole players':
I am looking to begin the season with around 5 Bulldogs players (Macrae, Dunkley, Smith, Cavarra, Hayes), and 3 Fremantle players (Valente, Bewley and Schultz). I have no guarantee that those Fremantle players will play in the initial half of the season but expect 5 or more games overall for each of them. A similar concept with the Bulldogs players, I will be removing those who do not appear in round one and believe that Cavarra and Hayes will not still be playing on the other end of the season when the Dogs have most of their home games. Once last season I faced a doughnut, and the other time I was forced to put Keefe on the field, when his initial function was to swing with Sicily and TMac. In the rucks, I will either purchase an expensive R3 or a player who will potentially player later in the season (Fort, Clarke, De Koning)

Good to have you back mate.
Hanners and Roberton gonna feature in your team?
Thanks mate. Not sure as yet, need to change something up as my rank a few years ago was 220 overall and the last couple have been 14,000 & 18,000. But it just draws you back in every bloody year!
