Same deal with points, it's better to have one 700k player and 2 100k rookies than 3 300k players because of value for money
Have to factor in JS, chance of 1 in x stepping stones becoming a keeper, value of a trade (potentially), spend efficiency (rookie clearly super efficient if getting a regular game and aren't Connor Menadue / Lachie Murphy, but you typically overpay for high-end premos).
But guns and rookies better on whole where enough rookies present, agree. Just my 5 cents.

Hi everyone, apologies if this has already been answered (I have looked).

For those without SC Gold, is there anywhere to access player positions and prices?

Many thanks in advance.

Anyone see a reason why Heppell can’t go to 110+? I can see plenty of reason to start him and Merrett with Sheil coming in.
Mostly because he has never ever gotten close to it before. He would need to increase his ceiling and consistency on his 130+ scores. 3 last year, 2 the year before and 1 in the previous 2 years Some players can be good footy players without being great Supercoach players. Heppell will always be a 100-105-ish player - Good for draft, but you would want more for standard.

There are two team pickers available online. One is with Doctor Supercoach. You can find them on twitter or facebook. They ask for a donation for charity for access.

Supercoach Elites are apparently releasing a team picker today according to their twitter yesterday.

That all hinges on the fact that the 700k player you have selected remains averaging the same for this season, which is highly unlikely. Take for example Jack Macrae. Increased his disposals by over 5 per game in a single season. Libba comes back in and grabs some clearances and more ball from midfield. He slips back to 110. Now you've lost cash, and average in points and you also have to cross your fingers and hope the rookie you're playing at M6 doesn't get dropped in round 2. A libba or similar could average 90+ and they are virtually guaranteed to play barring injury. So Libba and say Merrett could return you 200 points per week and cost 844k. Or you can grab Macrae and a rookie for up to 150k. The average rookie pumps out a solid 60 average which leaves you with 170 points per week.

Like everything its situational. IF you nail the rookies and IF the player your selection holds his point production you are right, however, the fact of the matter is that no one will know until the end of next season. But that is why SuperCoach is interesting.

Plus ....if you're an AFL mid player of any note, a 100 average is the minimum ......so many players at around that average ....we want those who can bust out a 175 points, but not dip below 100

SC Talk has released one, Huttabito posted it here. Search here / on twitter for SC Talk / huttabito and team picker and you'll find it.
You can extract the raw price and position data from there if you want consolidated tables.

As the Cats head to their three-week Christmas break still stewing over 2018, one player who won't be afforded the same luxury is injury-plagued speedster Nakia Cockatoo.

Limited to just two AFL games this year following back-to-back PCL surgeries, the 22-year-old will return early after an interrupted summer to date having his tonsils removed.

"Nakia's had a couple of hiccups but he's now starting to do more, I know his volume of running has increased," Lloyd said.

"He's doing five or six kilometres this week, which is still not comparable to others that are running 12-14 (km's) but he's doing a huge amount of conditioning work underneath the grandstand (in the gym), doing a lot of cardio work.

"He won't have as long a break as the other players. The plan was for him to have a bigger break earlier on so he can do a huge amount of work over Christmas.

Pretty locked in with this structure, only thing I'm not certain on is the rucks. Pretty keen on Kreuzer if he looks good in JLT, then I'll downgrade a ruck to him and most likely upgrade beams to a Fyfe/Kelly. Bolded players I'm almost certain I'll pick round one. Really keen on Coniglio as a POD.

:p So let me see if i understand your statement ..."I'm set on my structure" .....I assume that's the premo/rookie ratio's by zone .....cause by the players you've circled, you're only set on 10 out of 30 :p:p

I have a feeling Beams will score well this year, probably only behind Grundy at the 'Pies for average...
What is always the problem with him is how many games will he play? If it's 20+ he'll be an excellent POD I think.

Scoring isn't the problem with Beama, it's games played. Hoping less travel this year helps that.

At D4 ? .....that makes me nervous, particularly as i have Blakely as a "risky pick" at D3
Yep. Lowest scoring line. And there are not many players who are top 8 every year reliably. Back Premos are a year to year prospect. Avoid the guess work, save the cash and load up elsewhere.

I don’t think he’s a good SC prospect at all but I just want Cocky to stay fit pls :'(

My honest opinion is if Preuss plays round 1 (and I assume he will) the next best pick is Kreuzer in the rucks. He is massive value. The really good news about choosing him this year is you also get his first 5 games as a sample size. If he’s not performing, trade him to Mumford. The only other value consideration I’m thinking of is Longer but he doesn’t have the ceiling of Kreuzer. At the moment it’s allowed me to upgrade miles to Merrett which is a massive win imo.

Considering Melbourne play Port in R1 with Lycett and Ryder .....you can almost guarantee Preuss plays ...but there's a lot of maybe's about your plan ...it could be a great success, or stuff up your season

It just depends on your objective ...rankings or league wins

Grundy played with Cox in the side all year. Maxy is good up forward when pinch hitting. Preuss won’t affect his scoring too much.
