Yep Selwood in the backline, and the uncontested marks he got there, is what got me up and about. He can get completely tagged out of games when playing pure midfield. If he's allowed to roam to the backline then that would seriously inflate his scoring. Can just imagine him racking up marks late in quarters, young guys like Jordan Clark will just have to kick it to him. Wow this is seriously tempting
I have been watching his role, and he's apparently transitioning into more of a 'bench coach' sort of role. Meaning that he plays on the wings and he directs plays/traffic as he's right next to the interchange and floats back when they need a balanced head in defence. This is definitely planned. Couple that with his intent, his demand for the ball and his ability to just get into the right spots, and I think this is his year. 154 off 79% game time is freakin' phenomenal in my eyes. He didn't even look like he was trying either, that's the amazing part
