Mods are unpaid volunteers volunteering their time to keep this place running smoothly. Try to respect that. Yeah, we dont always get things right, but most here are just trying to do whats best for everyone. Its impossible for mods to make everyone happy, and for every decision a mod makes, there is always going to be someone who disagrees.

Mod bashing never solves anything and it is simply disrespectful to those who take the time to volunteer for this place.

Gil just said the Giants were gallant in defeat. If I was a GWS player I'd probably retired out of shame.

Wish we got looked after like Plebmond have. EPic run into finals, draw an inexperienced Brisbane to get a home final, get lucky Geelongs key forward has a brain fart followed by the match committee s**tting the bed with selections and tactics and then luck out that GWS play their Grand Final a week early to knock out a team who could have beaten them. But even when GWS pressed early the umpires made sure the effort was for nothing.

Went to the game yesterday. Within minutes, it was clear that (unlike us) GWS had nothing to combat Richmond's behind-the-ball defence, nor the annoyingly predictable 'tap-the-ball on' stuff.

It just made me more furious.

Clearly the premiership coming back to Victoria hasn't been well received out west!

Neither Hawthorn or Richmond had to beat a Victorian team in their premierships this decade.

I still think at our best we're better.

It sucks that it’s like this but it’s reality. The amount of effort it takes for us to win one is a lot more than any of them and even then it takes right up until the last minute to pull through. Richmond and Hawthorn were quality sides but over the last few years we’ve been right on their tail and would have another flag under our belt if we had even half the amount of privileges they have. Makes it sweeter when we win to stick it up them but every other year you realise just how bulls**t the whole thing is, they all live in a huge hypocritical bubble over there.

Worst thing about today is we have to listen to all the s**t about how amazjng Richmond are. Already started on The Worst

That would be a lot to do with it.

You'd have to sympathize with them, though. Because we came kind of close in their premiership year and won it the year before and after, we're going to get talked up as the better team over this period regardless of their 2018 win.

I'm not going to argue we don't deserve to be more highly rated.

The oppo boards make for bizarre reading really.

Firstly, of course our fans are going to be feral in the aftermath and it would be the same no matter who wins it.

Secondly, all this interstate conspiracy stuff. The last 8 grand finals have all had interstate teams compete. If there really was a conspiracy (somehow), these interstate teams wouldn't have made it.

Thirdly, we made it to the top despite being shit right in the middle of the compromised drafts due to the giants. Hell, we were shit for 37 years, if the afl wanted to gift a Victorian club a flag it wouldn't have been us and the Bulldogs, it would have been Collingwood or the druggoes.

By all means gnash your teeth because you wanted us to lose but don't spin us a line about gifted flags.
