Mods are unpaid volunteers volunteering their time to keep this place running smoothly. Try to respect that. Yeah, we dont always get things right, but most here are just trying to do whats best for everyone. Its impossible for mods to make everyone happy, and for every decision a mod makes, there is always going to be someone who disagrees.

Mod bashing never solves anything and it is simply disrespectful to those who take the time to volunteer for this place.

Fun fact, I've been monitoring the fixture this year, and Richmond will be the only team that doesn't have at least 1 game with home ground advantage (aka Tiges vs non-MCG tenant @MCG). You could argue because of this we have had the most unfair draw in the history of the comp.

Richmond played at Darwin, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. But never at Perth.

And if they played at Optus, they never played at Subiaco. And if they played at Subi they never played at Katanning.

Richmond are forever guilty of Vicbias because they take under-rated West Australians and turn them into champions, while WC take highly rated Victorians and turn them into prima donnas.

Remember how the AFL said it was costing them $4million a week to keep the clubs in the hubs? Where do you think this money is going? Who do you think is benefiting from that money? The narrative that Queensland saved football out of the good of its heart is complete tosh. I've said it before and I'll say it again it is opportunism, not altruism.

The reasons the Grand Final is scheduled for the GABBA are far more political.

Reason Number 1 and the biggest reason is the Victorian Government. They don't want the game to be played at any other ground that rivals the MCG in Aesthetic or Atmosphere. It will only bring further scrutiny to their back door, lowball deal to keep the Grand Final at the MCG till we're all driving flying cars. The AFL is beholden to the Victorian Government, a position which they feel pretty comfortable with I guess. The AFL is part of the broader Victorian Sports Industry. Gill answers to Pakula and Andrews. The fact the AFL Grand Final time is dictated by a 2 minute horse race tells you everything.
