Bullcrap !
Yeah, I have no idea why she is persisting with that, a simple check of our injuries would show that we have 8 of our best 10 out for large parts of the season.
People say 'oh but Collingwood had lots of injuries too and made the GF' but the quality of their outs was not the same.
But that wouldn't fit the media narrative

Because she's friend with Rucci ....and this is payback

Nope, Caro was banging on again last night about how the camp wrecked our season, so it MUST have been that
Idk if these 'journos' actually have any idea at all, and rely purely on social media
Meh, her agendas have become boring.

Since she lost her main inside AFL source, her work has suffered & not usually worth reading.

When McClure stopped talking about it you know it's time to move on. Nope, Caro still making a huge deal about it.

Must be frustrating going from being relevant to irrelevant.

Perhaps she should seek advice from Rooch

Notice how when journos talk about the preseason camp this year, they conveniently failed to emphasise the massive injury toll we had?

Why is this? Because it makes their story less sensational if other factors are thrown into the mix for the causal factors!
It is about the sensationalism rather than the itty gritty details such as like....actual facts!

I would have preferred to hear that he had hired a running coach. Weights don't seem to be his problem (ok, I'm assuming he wasn't focusing on cardio in the gym)
Why are you assuming he wasn’t focusing on cardio in the gym? There is so much aerobic based stuff they could do in the gym. Not just running.

Injury list as of 30th November, most are in recovery stages.

Daniel Talia - Shin/Thumb
David Mackay - Achilles
Tom Doedee - Collarbone
Taylor Walker - Foot
Kyle Hartigan - Knees
Andrew McPherson - Groin
Brad Crouch - Groin
Jordan Gallucci - Toe

The problem was all our injuries were to our running players .....it made us bog slow

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the only injured players were those missing games.

There were a few others playing under significant duress last season - Tex, Jacobs for starters.

It just isn't recognised by a lot of supporters, look at Jenkins this year. Best forward, massive improvement = playing without broken ribs.

We absolutely missed Cameron's forward pressure, Smith and other running players.

Once the injury curse hits a club players play under duress waiting for others to come back, and then more injuries strike in the interim. Playing injured has a massive impact on your game. People who have played know it.

If we can get most of our best players fully fit for the year we'll show a massive improvement.

Every club in December is full of optimism about the year ahead, every single one thinks that next year will be better than this one.

But one club will end up premiers and another will finish last.

I hope my optimism isn't false, I reckon we'll have a red hot crack next season after last season's disaster.

I agree with Brodie Smith, I think we have a great list, we just need to get them fit and on the park.
