:p That’s a fallacy ..... everyone says the same about 5AA .... but everyone who says they refuse to listen, does listen ..... everyone who hates Kane, still listens

Like moths to a flame
Reality with 5AA is it panders to the majority, Kane wont have that luxury.

But it’s so amateurish, so tiresome .... it provides simply no worthwhile information at all .... I can’t even last 5 minutes

Their interviews have no preparation put into them, you could ask better questions ..... if I want to listen to an interview like Caro or Pyke ( is he on 5AA anymore ? ) .... I simply listen on Soundcloud

Be interesting to see the media narrative if Tex has a solid season.

It was amazing to watch how quickly they sunk the boots in to him last year. You would think he would have received a bit more slack considering he was voted best captain by his peers two years in a row.
The moment the Victorian media didn't say boo about Pendlebury after the GF it became obvious what their motives were.

Just watched B Smith presser.
If he stays fit we are going to look bloody marvellous.

Can't be overstated how much we missed him.
Looking forward to seeing him lazering tex onto the tit.
Smithers, Laird, Seed and Milera filling the HBF's / Wings

Competition best quartet in these 2 important running positions. I think so

Cricket. News

Lol
Hey, all morning here the badly twisted ankle of the Indian wonder kid opener, has been the discussion point

Has the carrier pigeon arrived at FIVEAA yet ??

this will also be Thor's 1st full pre-season so I expect him to go to another level which is scary for opposition teams
No doubt but having not seen him run out a game I'll believe it when I see it. If he can play 80% TOG in 2019 we will have a borderline elite player in the middle.. If it happens.
Gibbs, Sloane, Crouch, Crouch, Greenwood would be very strong with Seedsman, Smith and Milera on the outside.

That actually starts to sound like we have some depth in the guts...though you missed Douggy and DMac

How will they sneak Mackay in?

Barring unforeseen and material change in fortunes, 2019 marks the end of DMac at AFC.

Suns or Blues a 50/50 chance to give him a short term reprieve 2020.

DMac has actually got if not the best out of himself, quite close to. We all know his limitations but well regarded coach after coach (Craig, Walsh and Pyke with Sando somewhat more marginal) consistently picking him.

2009 SF V Pies at the G. What a tease in hindsight

Unforeseen circumstances: like a contract extension for 4 years.

Bookmark it.

It's easy to forget how long Brad has been around. That highlight package is a great reminder if what he can add to the midfield

Yep... take CEY out of the midfield and put bcrouch in.... and you have a completely different beast..

Please can we just have a fit and firing Gibbs, Sloane, mcrouch, bcrouch and Greenwood ALL together for ALL of next year.... be a sight to behold..

Breakfast is huge ..... Monday mornings after games and issues .... everyone will listen

Why wait till 4pm on FIVEAA ..... it’s all about immediacy these days .... hence why newspapers are failing
You're massively overplaying Crocmedia's success.

SEN has a 4% share. They barely crack the top ten in Melbourne. They do a 1/4 of what 3AW does. They've no perceptible improvement since Crocmedia took them over, and they were almost going broke before that.

Hutchy will roll other media assets together, and cut costs across them, sell advertising across it all and make it all profitable. It's not a terrible business, just not a massively successful.

It still beats a few other stations ......going National, they'll be able to spin some shows Nationally, like Gerrard Whately ...which won't increase their overheads, but will attract / increase advertising $$$$

The 3AW is the same format at FiveAA, but without sport ......so that market for talkback is strong, but have to remember, apart from the ABC, there's no-where near the competition as in the FM music segments

Note, the % of listeners is fairly equal across morning, afternoons, and drive

Lol. I started this thread in 2015. Mackay has played over 60 games since then:

It won't last three years.
In Adelaide ? ......oh yes it will ..alot of the costs will be spread across Melb / Adelaide

Already Kane was doing the Friday morning show on Melb SEN .....but doing it from Adelaide

Whately will come into Adelaide ....so no additional costs, no Adelaide management costs ....it's a low cost model
