I think people need to temper their expectations of Libba, he hasn’t played to a high standard since 2014. Since then he’s had one decent season, one poor season and two recos.

Agree. He shouldn't be anywhere near our best few midfielders next year.

That said, if he can match 2016, which is doable, then he could pair with Dunkley inside to release Bont and Macrae to play more damaging roles. We saw in the last part of the season that having Dunkley push Bont outside can do, so it'd help to solidify that setup. The other part is that by having Dunkley, Libba, Maclean, Bont, Macrae, and Bailey Williams pushing through there it means we can avoid having Wallis (stats show he was the worst clearance player in the league last year), and Gowers playing there instead of forward where they should stay.
