St Kilda are anxiously awaiting the results of scans to Max King's reconstructed right knee after the young gun landed heavily during a marking contest in the VFL on Sunday.
King, 18, had started brightly in what was his fifth VFL game since returning from a knee injury he suffered early last year in his under-18 season.

The No.4 draft pick kicked an early goal for Sandringham against Werribee at Trevor Barker Beach Oval but landed awkwardly after presenting for a ball moments later. There are fears he has suffered an ACL injury.
He won a free kick in the contest but couldn't take the shot. He was taken to the boundary line, walking around, before later being taken for scans.
The Saints - ravaged by injury this year - are sweating on the news. The 202-centimetre King had been on the verge of an AFL debut, planned for as early as next weekend against the Brisbane Lions.

I think Lenny did his ACL against someone and played the game out from memory....to be fair...that was Lenny
A first tear significantly increases the chance of the next - not sure if that’s a result of the persons make up or the previous tear , but stats show you it happens

If you do your acl generally you are ok to walk in a straight line and it is pain free and usually little or no swelling. The issue is the knee collapses with lateral movement. It doesn’t sound good.

Cheers mate. Looks as though it's a general statement about ACL's. Hard to determine whether he is describing an ACL injury because he saw King do it or he's just describing an ACL for the sake of the discussion.

I feel sick either way...

No longer Winx, it’s now Jinx

FWIW:
I am at the start of that video, on the fence, when King is walking off the ground.
I had a clear side view of the incident.
As previously posted, he flew for the mark and came down awkwardly.
Nothing in it as far as the Werribee guy is concerned.
He went to ground and knew immediately something was wrong.
I can’t recall him grabbing anything but he seemed to getup okay.
Though proppy.
He was favouring his right foot, toes in the air, heel on the ground.
My first impression was that he’d hurt his ankle or foot.
Someone gave him the ball for the mark/free and you could see him contemplating whether he could take the kick.
The umpire gave him the option so he handed the ball across to another player.
By that time the trainers had got to him.
He walked off, slowly and clearly favouring the right leg.
Minimal assistance, if any, from the trainers.
Straight to the physios, who laid him on his bum and started testing his right knee. Then got him to lie down and they tested both knees.
I had a clear view of all this.
Then he got up and walked from one forward pocket down the wing to the other, and then off the ground. That’s what you see in the video.
He was not limping.
He was accompanied by one physio.
But my heart sank when I looked at his face.
Pale, like in shock. Unhappy.
That’s when I decided to leave.
No idea of the extent of the injury, only really reporting on that expression on his face.

Yeah the stats on re-tearing are really bad for u18s as well. I played soccer with a gun who'd done 2 before he was 18 and his dad did 3 during his overseas career
