FWIW:
I am at the start of that video, on the fence, when King is walking off the ground.
I had a clear side view of the incident.
As previously posted, he flew for the mark and came down awkwardly.
Nothing in it as far as the Werribee guy is concerned.
He went to ground and knew immediately something was wrong.
I can’t recall him grabbing anything but he seemed to getup okay.
Though proppy.
He was favouring his right foot, toes in the air, heel on the ground.
My first impression was that he’d hurt his ankle or foot.
Someone gave him the ball for the mark/free and you could see him contemplating whether he could take the kick.
The umpire gave him the option so he handed the ball across to another player.
By that time the trainers had got to him.
He walked off, slowly and clearly favouring the right leg.
Minimal assistance, if any, from the trainers.
Straight to the physios, who laid him on his bum and started testing his right knee. Then got him to lie down and they tested both knees.
I had a clear view of all this.
Then he got up and walked from one forward pocket down the wing to the other, and then off the ground. That’s what you see in the video.
He was not limping.
He was accompanied by one physio.
But my heart sank when I looked at his face.
Pale, like in shock. Unhappy.
That’s when I decided to leave.
No idea of the extent of the injury, only really reporting on that expression on his face.
God you’re handsome
