Unfortunately nobody is going to put final touches on any deals till a few bigger deals progress as picks inside 20 are premium this year with next year being relativity shallow so others wanting to get deals done might be able to get picks in the late second early third relativity cheap
Patton should be a Hawk today or tomorrow?
No trades can be lodged after 5pm apparently...so not today...maybe not tomorrow depends on what route they take to a deal
Any trading strategy does not wotk unless other traders have reverse strategy to you
Or geelong thinking the kelly situation is that different to the danger trade a couple of years back

The beauty of both the Kelly situation and Daniher situation is that any player thinking of going to Geelong or Essendon will be wary because of their shit attitude.
I love it because Hawthorn continues to put player welfare first and ultimately we will get the right players because of it.

Wright has said Clarko wants 3 talls again in our forward line (ala Rough Frank and Hale). So he sees Patton fitting in nicely with Mitch Lewis and TOB.
Thats fine, but makes me wonder where he sees Gunna playing and will Irish get a game?
Obviously both Gunstan and Nash can play forward if any of the other 3 are injured, bujt cant have them all in the forward line, and id hate to see TOB go back again after he showed us what he could do as a high flying marking forward.

Gunston nearly won a Norm Smith playing with Hale Roughy and Buddy.
Also TO is never more than 2 games from being in Box Hill and I wouldn't be surprised if we plan to pair him and Frost in defence when Chip goes.

If Gunston can end up being matched up with the 3rd to 4th best defender then look out. If the ball delivery I50 is good, I am tipping a massive year for him

There isnt a dislike button so i will write Dislike. TOB came of age this year up forward and i finally saw what Dermie has been saying about him. Not back to defence. Not, no, never.
I could say he was Peter Knights like, but that would not just be putting on some mayo, that would be a slab of it. But.....

Played 16 straight games this year - played solidly down back and tore some games a new one up front. Find a new whipping boy please.
Even in that era clarko mixed it up having a small fwd line at times
