Rehab group is a misnomer*, players are all on individual programs. You've noticed by now that our senior players are being eased into it... that's not because they are all suffering from general senior soreness.

*misnomer means an inaccurate name or designation. - For Kim.
I admit that I haven't yet had my caffeine for the morning, but first look I somehow read that as genital soreness

By instinct ballas meant play in a way where everybody has an awareness of one another and they don't need to 'think' - hence instinct

A better descriptor would be that they are aiming to get the whole team in a state of flow

Either way - get too caught up on arguing over semantics and you've missed the whole point of what they are saying
I know right. But still gave a few an opportunistic segue to blame Ross again

Kim Hagdorn just said that in one week we have gone from having 8 players in the rehab group to 12 and that the club is now going to launch an investigation into the amount of soft-tissue injuries that we currently have.

Hmmmm....Didn't he just say the same thing last week?

Whether Hagdorn is full of shit or not, the investigation should have been launched many years ago. Our injury management/prevention/recovery has been dreadful for many years. Cost us at least one and maybe 2 premierships, and also kept us down a lot further on the ladder over the last few years. We are not going to rise up the ladder until there is a complete overhaul of the medical department.

Fit. Available. On the same page.

Ballas version of instinct is just being on the same page. Although, in his case, maybe instincts just means running to a contest and falling over!

Hogan doing a fair amount of running and kicking. Great signs.

I popped down quickly and was suprised with that also. I think he could train fully if he wanted to, just being held back. For around 30 minutes he and Darcy tucker were doing a kick to kick, including hogan launching for marks etc.. and going on very short leads

We looked like rolled gold when everyone was playing for each other in late 2012 through 2013 and the start of 2014. What that team lacked was a second dominant KPF to provide a foil for Pav, and better kicking skills from our bottom few players. We had too many soldiers and not enough skill so players like Suban or DPearce were frustrating.

The team played well *because* they were well drilled and knew where the support was and who's turn it was to go in. We've seen that fall apart really quickly with the new kids - either seeing everyone going in and we get burnt on the outside of a contest, or nobody going in and we get torn through the middle

Overall - I think we have better balance now, and better skills and running power. What we lack is depth in our midfield, and experience with our young cohort. Our position now is similar to 2012 where it took time for our team to gel, and it really started coming together in the back end of the reason. I expect to see the same again this season, especially with Lachie now out and B1 and B2 stepping in.

What I look forward to is seeing a well drilled team playing for one another - except this time having more skill

Can confirm Logue being fit and available... Dixon running laps, Meek looks fit, interesting to see how they use him this year.

Conca’s foot skills are very ordinary.

Carter still seems to be bothered by his wrist/thumb issue, saw a low rolled ball pickup and he was shaking it afterwards.

Tobe Watson turned over a few, as did Duman in the exiting back line drills.

Lobb looks mobile and fit, looking forward to him in action this year.

Anyone see North, I find it difficult to recognise him.

A skinny indigenous kid had silky skills, not sure who he was.

Blakey is bulked up ready for midfield bull mode.

Bewley looks a steel.. ready for action now SHill is sidelined.

Anyone claiming Logue doesn't have footy smarts and is only an athlete is in for a nice surprise round 1. He's a specimen, cuts through traffic, bodies up well on forwards when defending and kicks really well.
I have always been tempted to nickname him Sideshow Bob but him streaming off half back at untacklabke pace makes me think Jonah may be more suitable.

You wouldn't want to be a mid sized "pressure forward" trying to lay a tackle on Logue if he was bolting at you out of the backline with a head of steam. He's an absolute unit.
