The highlight of the session was Sandi drilling Carter in a tackle and then rubbing his head while they were on the ground.
I was also there for a about 15 minutes and saw this little bit of by play. Great to see the big man doing some hard work and having fun with it. I notice in the drill he and the other mids were doing before the match sim part he was not forced to start the drill face down on the ground like the others. Sensible management on his aging body.

Hogan was out there kicking the ball and looking ok albeit that it wasn’t exactly high intensity.

Any thoughts on the new recruits?

Whether Hagdorn is full of shit or not, the investigation should have been launched many years ago. Our injury management/prevention/recovery has been dreadful for many years. Cost us at least one and maybe 2 premierships, and also kept us down a lot further on the ladder over the last few years. We are not going to rise up the ladder until there is a complete overhaul of the medical department.

Kim Hagdorn just said that in one week we have gone from having 8 players in the rehab group to 12 and that the club is now going to launch an investigation into the amount of soft-tissue injuries that we currently have.

Hmmmm....Didn't he just say the same thing last week?

They had the boys on modified programs wearing blue singlets today. I counted 6 which included Jesse.
I didn't spot Michael Walters on the track so I assume he was in the gym.

I sat on the southern side of the ground on the wall, where the Blue singlets were and noted that Jesse was doing significantly more running and weaving work than he was on Monday. He then spent time in kick to kick with Darcy Tucker before an extended period kicking on goal.

Tucker was doing plenty of running work solo and i couldn't understand what warranted the blue singlet other than a KM's catch up.

I hear that this was the players' final session at Cockburn for this year.

Harley Bennell impressed me in the main match sim as did Rory Lobbe with one superb mark versus Brennan Cox and finishing with a nice goal.

Players spread all over the ground in various groups wearing different coloured singlets.
Meanwhile Adam Cerra continues with his increased volume of running.
A delightful session.

Can confirm Logue being fit and available... Dixon running laps, Meek looks fit, interesting to see how they use him this year.

Conca’s foot skills are very ordinary.

Carter still seems to be bothered by his wrist/thumb issue, saw a low rolled ball pickup and he was shaking it afterwards.

Tobe Watson turned over a few, as did Duman in the exiting back line drills.

Lobb looks mobile and fit, looking forward to him in action this year.

Anyone see North, I find it difficult to recognise him.

A skinny indigenous kid had silky skills, not sure who he was.

Blakey is bulked up ready for midfield bull mode.

Bewley looks a steel.. ready for action now SHill is sidelined.

That was Liam Henry.

Has anyone set eyes on Tom North out there? He seems to get less coverage than any of our players in training reports. He'd be a great one to see improve for our midfield depth.

Tom North, non descript dark hair, non descript body shape, non descript height, non descript facial features...

The only way to identify him is a process of elimination..

Has anyone seen this man!

Actually now that I mention it.. I saw him today doing non descript stuff.. didn’t stuff up but didn’t set the house on fire either

Come on...... I'm pretty sure santa use his cheeks to light his sleigh - no way he couldn't stand out

Players, and AFL athletes will tell you a wild exciting dream for a smile to make your moment.

Yeah it sounds like a conspiracy theory that he would say he’ll be ready by round one , I’ll take his word for it thanks a bit more believable than the rumours going on around here that’s he’s of his dial during the off season.

NGA next years draft eligible... very very silky skills, left and right.

I think he played mainly private school footy this year but 2 colts games as under anger and did ok.

One for the memory bank!

I've watched him closely for 2 sessions. He is seriously classy. He's a right footer but kicks just as well of his left.
His hands are just silky. Going to be something.

If we could snag Jeremy Sharp, Liam Henry and a KPB next year we're just about set

Yep. Was good in the first session I went to last week

Thanks for the reports people. Sounds like an exciting pre-season so far.
I have a combination of excitement and dread when I hear encouraging things about Logue and Hogan being fit and available for round 1, seems like a mirage imagining how big, tough, fast and long kicking our backline might be and that there might be someone to actually kick it to.
Bennell I flat out refuse to believe will play until I see him run out. Its too cruel to think about otherwise.

Hogan is just slowly building. He's out there every session doing a little more each session

Logue looks to me completely unhindered...He is a massive, fast moving beast. He's strong in the contest, quick to recover and has a hard, long kick.

Bennell has lost a yard of pace with the injuries, but he's moving smoothly and doing everything. Can't ask for any more

In general, I'd agree with that. However, he seems to be ahead of where he said he would be at this stage so you never know.
