Long time lurker, have collected counts from people on this thread and number crunched them, this table here shows each person's count for each player, as well as their min and max and % of hitting the 10+ 15+ 20+ vote threshold for multis. Haven't added the latest few counts to it as yet, but here is hopefully a helpful resource for you guys and gals here. Love all the work from everyone here.

Did an 8 fold with 10 of your legs from : Adelaide, Carlton, Geelong, Giants, North, Port, Swans, Saints, Collingwood, GC with Touk Miller and North.

If I don't make any money, I want you to make an absolute bucketload! You've got all these 8-, 13- folds of 10 and 15 legs. It's insane, but consistently insane and deserves to be rewarded.

Round 7: WB V Essendon

3 Tim English
2 MacRae
1 Bontempelli

Did a bit of modelling and MacRae for me was comfortably the 2nd best player on the ground all night. Parish the best for the Bombers. My model shows there is a comfortable distance between best, second best and 3rd best on the field.

A bit of a quirky stat, the ANZAC Day Medalist in 25 matches, 19 times the winner of that medal, has polled the 3 votes in the Brownlow. The ones that bucked the trend were forwards: Rocca (twice), Chris Tarrant, Joe Daniher, Lovett Murray (played as a small forward). Treloar in 2018 was the only midfielder not to poll 2 after winning the ANZAC medal.

Having said that, Shiel won this medal this year, so you can probably bank 3 votes there.

High level stuff here. you deserve a big pay day Sunday for all your work

Long time, no post. Haven't checked BigFooty in years and was glad to see brownlow discussion still going.

Hope you guys win some good coin after spending the time this year creating your own tallies. Credit the people putting in the work. Did my own 10 years ago with some success. Swore I knew what umps looked for after 2010. Told myself that Dane Swan couldn't win in 2011, as too many tattoos etc (back then there wasn't that many players with tatts everywhere) and didn't back him in any bets him despite my gut instinct that the umpires might over-correct after he was the disappointed favourite the year before.

I overthought it. Umpires decide the outcome, always. As much as you can trust and analyse your own tally, there will always be anomalies.

Anyway, best of luck everyone. Hope the people that put in the work prosper.

Yeah, this might have been covered but has anyone done a historical analysis of the factors that influence umpires. Eg. looking at the AFLPA awards, media awards verses the Brownlow historically? I noticed around the time Priddis got the nod that basic poss numbers and DT stats seemed to be favoured. Basically just depends what app the umps are looking at on their phones after the game lol. Fanfooty or afl.com.au.

I was thinking this year it would be worth collecting information on the odds the bookies offer for 3 vote games. Useful to then compare who actually got the votes verse their odds. Would like to know how many time the “any other player” on b365 gets up among other things....

We know we can always access historical match stats but the 3 vote market odds is only available now and soon disappears for good.

yeh this is definetely interesting. Thinking particularly about games where the favourite is >$2.

I have a list of every single 3 vote favourite from 3-1 in every game. Not the odds of them though.

Looks like people have been slamming the Neale to outpoll North one. Dropped from $12 last month to $5 now.

Big investigation to be launched in relation to the lack of security of this year's Brownlow Medal votes. Because of the Covid-19 protocols in place, the securing of votes had to be done differently this year to ensure 0% Covid-19 exposure. Absolute corruption of the highest order and the integrity of the count has been seriously threatened. It would explain the plunge on Petracca.
