If he is going to be a star then if the Roos are to contemplate trading ( and why would they) then it will be this years and next years first, I assume there are no gun forwards in next years crop?

Well they’d need pick 2 to get McDonald.

Rowell had all the hype, so did Luko and Rankine

O'Meara would have been the best mid in the comp had he not injured his knee. He is also on record saying that he would have most likely stayed with us if it never happened.

Based on the player he has panned out to be I am super glad we got him off the books and got good draft capital for him.

I would also back us to get a key forward at his peak if we start winning.

Bennell was a star on the field, we let him down off field but putting him with that piece of shit Hunt, Gorringe was a reach at the draft. Dont think there was a huge hype around him and that was justified with his rubbish football ability.

We need to take some risks now if we just get keep trying to play it safe and get low risk but low ceiling draftees in we will never get the right balance of talent in the team

I'd be surprised if the Crows passed on Logan McDonald. He is the clear number 1 pick this year imo. Perhaps you guys are looking to trade up for Elijah Hollands? He is an absolute freak and alongside guys like Rowell and Rankine he would make your team incredibly potent.

If we trying to move to 2 it would surely be for McDonald or Thilthorpe.
We took 5 running/power players last year in Rowell, Ando, Ned, Sharp and Budders.
Any Academy and NT players this year will be similar.

Yes, cant firget the hype Day had. Was said to be a mix of Carey and Riewoldt by recruiters at the time. Sometimes it just doesn't turn out that way.

That leaves Brodie as the only other departure, apparently we have to.upgrafe Budarick, Rosa,Conroy and Holman to the senior list which means we will only use one draft pick this year

And Wright a key forward/ruck is worth a future forth

Powell , Ballard ,Weller next year for contract extension and Rankine , king and luko should be on 500k until 2022 and Rowell .Anderson 500k kick in 2022 .
