Just here to rage that St Kilda actually gave up pick 17(for a hardly proven small forward), when we didn't force the hand with Crouch. Week as piss Kelly.

We risk keeping a player that the club clearly didn't want on a long term deal to move 6 spots in the draft

Lol

Where the player comes from should count exactly zero percent into who we take at 1. If we have that mentality at all, then we are handicapping ourselves, and we get enough of that from the AFL. Fact is that at least 90% of the best players in the game come from outside SA and so we simply can’t let that be a factor in who we choose.

our future Captain, Tom Doedee, and our current captain btw, come from Victoria. If we had not taken Tom because he wasn’t from SA then we would be the poorer club for it. If Tillthorpe projects as a better player than McDonald then fine, take him. I just don’t believe that anyone would actually be saying that based purely on their careers to this stage.
I am saying Thilthorpe and McDonald are similar talent levels and that is exactly why we are better off choosing the local lad as there is zero go home factor. Sure if Mc Donald was projected as the much better player than sure you take him but he is not in my opinion..lets see what the club thinks

Save your rage on that one.

Or he was one of the reasons they did go top 4?
That might be a fair point, but all I know is he averaged roughly 2.5 goals per game, but I don't know how many goals Perth kicked in total. One point that must be made about LM - he can kick straight!!

Not so. It was to make a statement on where we stand as a club. The Saints committed to Brad and they would have looked bad if they reneged.

Maybe watch the players play and form your own opinion.
IMO there is a clear top 3 now.
Reading & comprehension not your strong point? I stated clearly(!) that I can't split the three lads Crows are most probably discussing as Pick 1. There are many of us on here who haven't seen any of them play in the flesh(the only thorough way to judge true potential) & whilst highlights packages are fun to watch they have significant shortcomings. There is no rule that states that all supporters must nail their colours to one particular draftee.

There's a Brad Crouch thread for that!

It's ALSO talking about draft picks and a lot more relevant than a lot of other things said here.

He is not explosive, but he is fast. Fact is that would be neither (Thilthorpe';s or Himmelberg's) roles to be Charlie Camerons. It would be to contest in the Forward lines, and if you cant see the difficulty a defence would have with two mobile fast forwards this size, your wasting your life spamming your dribble on this forum.
Himmelberg is slow 😂
