Frost physically is in the best shape of any player on our list seeing them up close at the training session on Saturday.
Absolutely cut.

Might not be in the best shape but definitely has the lowest body fat. Some people can just operate with less of it, and Frost is one of them.

it's not the blunt force impact to the head that matters, the headgear only stops the bruising/bleeding to the impact point. It doesn't help at all when it comes to how much the brain moves inside the skull and its impact with the inner cavity. If that makes sense.....
It certainly does make sense. Look at the American footballers who still get bad concussion even with the helmets they wear. It has become avery big issue over there.

Yes, but they lead with their heads because they are wearing helmets!

A heap of HFC staff (Didn’t recognise any of them, and about six of them) at the Brisbane Airport today so the players must be close behind.

IMO hard NFL style helmets may actually lead to more concussions than if NFL players were wearing no helmets.

-soft AFL/Rugby style helmets I reckon probably help a bit through softening impacts slightly, and causing less forceful hits with less brain movement in the skull.
Yep, makes sense.
So the problem is, after impact, the skull accelerates and the brain smashes into the side of the skull = concussion.
So what about headgear that is based on a tight memory foam, which slows the impact?
If a person without headgear‘s skull accelerates from 0 to 60kms on impact in, say, 0.001 seconds, maybe a person with memoryfoam-based headgear would have their skull accelerate at 0.002 seconds. This could be enough to avoid a concussion / brain injury.
Are their any sports scientists out there who want to do a PHD? ... And then make a mint if they take their research to the corporate world? If so, please give “Alite from BigFooty“ a credit in your paper. :tearsofjoy:

<— Also waiting for any morsel of news on the Hawks training.... specifically on CJ and Nash, both of whom I think could be game changers for the Hawks in 2020.
