Treat the same way the Adelaide v Geelong game was treated when Walshy passed - Melbourne and Essendon get 2 points each and call it a draw.

Why should the rest of the league be punished because Victoria can't get it's sh*t together.
Esendon should get draws for the next 3 weeks and not play.

They'll need to stop for 2/3 weeks, not sure it's quite the same.

Essendon may need to postpone their next 2-3 matches, but I don't see a reason why the rest of the competition has to be suspended.

An unintended consequence is that this will vindicate the AFL's decision to keep 16 minute quarters.

Yes, just depends if he’s still contagious. Also, it would only be the players in his group that will have to self isolate, that’s the whole point of restricting training to small groups.
The big issue will be where he got it from.

He could be having an extended holiday

It gets difficult because they'll still be around each other at the club and potentially at home if they house share.
They aren’t though, they’re very restricted on this. Even their reviews are done in small groups. The whole point of the protocols was to minimize club exposure if a player tests positive. They also have to shower before coming to the club, shower when they get to the club and shower before leaving the club.

They said he cleared quarantine from coming back from Ireland a month ago. The hard part is sort of like in the NBA, everyone assumed Rudy Gobert gave it to Donovan Mitchell because he was the first positive test, but there's no proof it wasn't the other way around.

So unless you have proof of a clear breach of protocol on McKenna's part then you probably don't have grounds to suspend him.

Time for a breakaway league folks. The CFOACFMSL (Covid-Free or Almost Covid-Free Master States League). Us, Port, Eagles, Freo, Suns and Lions. Community transmission has been squashed in NSW too so maybe the the Swans and the Giants can join too.

They get tested twice a week and aren't supposed to leave their homes apart from trainings.

So you can safely assume he was somewhere he wasn't meant to be.

Or one of the other Bombers have being lying

Apparently 3AW just claimed McKenna was allowed to train after his positive test. In which case I can't see anything less than all points being stripped from them and forfeits for the games they miss.
If true, absolutely.

Will be interesting to hear what the AFL's plan is. They would have had a plan in place for this happening
I got told from a player as soon as one player tests positive the league is suspended.

Thus was in April though. So the AFLPA may have changed their stance.
